Feely is a proven vet with a great record. You can't deny the facts. The Dolphins send him packing just like the other four captains from last year's team (Trent Green, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor and Jay Feely), but for reason having nothing to do with his abilities as a player.

First and foremost because Steve Hoffman (the Dolphins kicking coach) needs a young player he can coach rather than a vet, in order to justify having a job. Kicking coaches are virtually non-existent in the NFL, except for the Dolphins. The crap by Sparano about we charted their kicks and Carpenter charted better (even though Feely was out due to a groin injury) is transparent BS. Parcells has always hated kickers and can't stomach a kicker being a team leader or a team spokesman in the media, which is why he was motivated to get rid of Feely from the get-go.

Notice they did not bring in any competition for Brandon Fields who is a young and sometimes struggling punter despite the ?BS? about "there will be competition at every position". Sparano is nothing more than a puppet for Parcells. He will lie and keep a straight face.

Truth is, talk to the players about how they feel about Feeley. He's a jackhole will be the common response. Self-absorbed, a shrink may say. He'd quick grab his tank top and drop and do 20 before going out to sign autographs so he'd look more pumped for the "little people." Come on he's a freakin' kicker. Parcells and TS are good old boys who used to beat these kids up in the school yard.

Either you don't really know him ... or you're Jay Feeley.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aquarius

Someone is being bombastic and overbearing, and you don't like it. You aren't prepared to take their behavior lying down, but standing up to them is likely to result in a rip-roaring row. Well, it seems that the row is almost inevitable, and perhaps that's just as well because it won't do you any good to swallow your anger or tolerate this person's boorishness for much longer.
