This has to stop these people took this poor boys life. And how evil some people our.. He did not have a chance to enjoy his blessing. I am an x of an NFL player and being an NFL player you are already a target in every way. It is sad and I did not know this young man. But I will pray for the family. He is in a better place and god has something more special than he had for him here.

God Bless Darrett

I couldn't believe it. I seen the game and Darrent Williams looked in good shape and excited and all of a sudden A new year comes in and has to take his wonderful life away. That is just wrong. They should band gun shots at new year because you know that every new year someone is going to pass away and that's just wrong. I'm very sorry to the Family. God Bless you all.

2007 began with ignorant violence spewing forth after New Years parties all over this country. A warning to this country for the new year: spending your last 5 years wreaking havoc abroad is bound to come home to roost in some way shape or form, and, just as abroad, it comes to the brightest, the best and the most innocent first.

Who ever did this should be found and persucuted as soon as possible. This ignorance about firearms has to stop and a ban should take affect. How many times to i have to read about a poor kid being shot in this country.

Dee was a good kid. Never had any problems with him at Rosemont Middle School. The young man always had a smile on his face. Rest in peace, Dee Williams.

How sad our heavenly father must feel when blamed, accussed or in any way associated with this young man's
death.W are told in scripture that with evil things God cannot be tried or does he himself try anyone. At least this is what Jesus' half brother James said

I too am terribly saddened by Darrent's murder but banning guns will not help anything. Guns do not kill people, people kill people. I guess if that is your idea then we can ban cars when someone is driving and kills another person. Darrent is worth more than people trying to ban guns from this. The person that did this needs to be found and punished for this evil evil crime. I pray for Darrent's famly and friends including the Bronco's team as this is a very tough time.

We have lost a very young and talented gift that was sent to us. It breaks my heart to see someone so full of promise and life only to have it stripped away by someone in a moment of rage. Darrent Williams will be missed very much by everyone and our prayers will be with his family.

Why do we continue to contribute billions of dollars and other resources into other countries and fight their wars. We have to put an end to this violence within our own country. We just executed a dictator of another country because of the oppression and genocide he committed against his own people. Is our governing body ever going to look into the mirror. I am sorry to rant and apologize for all that do not agree, but i have experienced personally tragedy in my life and hate to see this. RIP, Darrent Williams and sorry that your family has to endure this pain.
Sincerely,
DeWayne DuPree

A loss such as this and the way that it happened touches all of us. It doesn't matter if you are a Bronco fan or not for that's not what this is about. We have lost a young talent, a father, an outstanding athlete and someone who cared deeply for others. I did not know Darrent, but am extremely saddened by this tragedy!! The senseless violence that happens so randomly needs to stop. But unfortunately it will not. Evil exists everywhere!! I just hope that his killer/killers are brought to a PAINFUL, SWIFT, AND BRUTAL JUSTICE!! RIP Darrent....you are missed!! And to his family....you will remain in my thoughts and my heart!!

What senseless violence. I pray that the police will find the morons who fired into a limo with 16 helpless people, and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. The death penalty will be too good for them!

I agree that this was a tragedy to end such a good life for this young athlete. You are mistaken about shots fired during the new year that killed him. This was an apparent retaliation hit aimed at him and his entourage, not some random shots fired in the air to celebrate.

They are worst than morons. They are the lowest type of coward, these drive by shooters. they think they are tough. to be in a vehicle, tinted windows and to drive by and shot up a car/limo whatever, with innocent people inside. they are probably back in the hole they came from...
