The skins are crazy if they trade up for Sanchez. If you want to trade the #1 pick, do it for a proven WR ... Braylon Edwards or A Boldin. This gives Campbell a legitimate WR weapon to pair with Moss. If Campbell performs this year, sign him to a nice contract next year. If he doesn't, let him go.

This is the most clueless franchise. You have 2 franchises that can be templates for NFL teams and 2 that have collective ADHD. How could Jason Campbell ever prosper in this system. Now that Matt Millen is out of Detroit Vinnie, you have moved to the top spot. Snyder just hemorrhages money on bad deals and doesn't blink. These guys should study the Eagles and Giants, let alone the Patriots or Steelers

And with their first pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Redskins select... a new general manager and vice president of football operations!.... Sanchez would be a band-aid fix for this team at best, IF he even pans out to be a respectable NFL QB... The Patriots have 11 picks on day one (and somehow finagled 6 in the first 3 rounds). Take some notes.

This would be a terrible deal for the Skins. Cooley is one of the best at his position in the league.

LOL! That's a rip! The scary thing about the new GM and FO idea is that it might be the best draft they ever had!
The Patriots having 11 picks is not that easy though. They had to acquire and nuture talent- through the draft- before they had players to trade for decent draft picks, and could only do so until they built up an big base of talent so they would not need the traded players. That took a lot of time to create.

About time the Skins got a franchise QB !! Campbell's been a bust the last two years, despite Wilbon's pumping of him. If you have something thats not working, no harm trying to get a replacement. We dont want another season with the Skins spread-eagled all over the floor with mediocre teams trampling over them just cos they dont have a quality QB. Anyways, Sanchez cant do worse than 8-8 or whatever it was the Skins did last season. Go for it, Danny Boy...get Sanchez to DC. That way we'll at least have something interesting to watch, instead of having to view absolute train-wrecks like Campbell and Portis.

This is crazy talk. I don't think a rookie QB will solve the team's problems. They've got too many holes. They'd be better off drafting a lineman (offensive or defensive). Calling Portis a trainwreck is off base. He may be a little past his prime, but he's solid. It would have been interesting if they talked about trading him, though. He is a distraction at times. And not many teams are looking to draft an RB this year, but some might have traded for a proven star like Portis. So potentially the skins could have traded him and drafted a good rookie RB. Or signed D. Ward and traded Portis to draft a young player to fill one of several needs. But that would make too much sense. Instead they will trade too much for a QB that might be good or might not. Snyder, listen to me. The Cards are talking about taking a second rounder plus something else for Boldin. If you must trade the first round pick, trade it for Boldin and a later pick.

It is kinda crazy to take Sanchez now. With all the money invested into the team that currently exists, bringing Sanchez in goes against the 'win now' concept. Sanchez could do well, but it almost cements the fact that the Redskins will not be in the SB this year.

if u most trade, trade for a big reciver like an boldin that would take some of the pressure off of the running game. then it would free up portis and betts to do more rinning. we as a skins fan need to see alittle more then an 8and8 record this year.
