JT, you've made a lot of money and hopefully saved most of it.

If you are willing to sign for the veteran minimum salary, then I'm sure the Trifecta would be willing to take you back.

Try dancing for a living. You did a so-so job on Dancing with the Stars. Football is not your bag at this stage - 34 may seem young, but for a big time player, that is OLD.

As a public relations move, being back JT makes sense. As a practical move, football is a young man's game, at a 34, its pretty clear that JT's best years are behind him.

He doesn't fit this system...too light for DE and not quick enough for OLB...what's he gonna teach? How to not quite make the playoffs every year?

Minimum wage plus bonuses of 10 K$/tackle & 100 K$/sack.

And .... he has to do all the physical training he is ordered to.

The guy not only priced himself out of a job, he primadonnaed himself out of one.

I don't see a rush to sign him, just his pathetic hanging around old teammages and hoping to get a little of their spotliglt shining on him.

Maybe if we go to 18 games and enlarge teams, in particular practice squads, we might see him land a job.

I think he should try out for the remake of Grease ... if they cast the Travolta role as a cross between Mr. Clean and Bernie Mac ... a big, bald wiseas s

Like a kid who runs away from home.... after he's gone a while, it wasn't so bad at home after all. I hope he retires a Phin... we're all entitled to correct our idiotic mistakes.

PLUS... he thought we'd end up 3-13 last season.

LOL...the Jets don't want any part of this dancing fruitcake. He criticized Jets fans because they tell it like it is. In his entire career with the Dolphins, he has been spanked repeatedly from the Jets. A few years in between, Miami finally gets a win.

I have a wild idea, and wonder if it could gain momentum. Let’s assume Taylor is physically and mentally prepared to play at some level approaching his former greatness. Taking Ireland’s words regarding aging players and using them in their context, Porter is 32 and will equally be a progress-stopper for any soon-to-be-drafted player(s). Taylor and Porter play the same position, and Porter’s salary is among the highest on the team.

So “what if” we’ve become convinced that Taylor has another year in the tank?“What if” Porter’s trade value is as high as it’s going to be, coming off a 17.5 sack, Pro Bowl season, and there were suitors?“What if” we could trade him for a starting caliber CB, as well as another first day draft pick?

I think it’s crazy - and just might make sense!

What's changed ? He's still saying the same things as last year. The fans still feel the same way also. So why bring him back ? No one moves forward by making U-turns and that includes this football team. JT is part of the past, lets not go back and pick him up so we can feel good about ourselves.

Lets move on and continue to build with new players that younger, stronger, and faster.
Oh great

Come on Parcells you still need a guy with leadership talent on that Defense. I dont know about 3 years from now, but i know with J.T. in that defense next year would be awesome. Porter and Taylor? Come on do it for the fans, do it for Tom Brady, for the Jets poor QB lineup, for the Bills "new offense". I think the fans should have a saying in it. We are the ones that buy the tickets.
