Because it's never too early to start looking toward the NFL Draft in April, here are the top five biggest draft needs for the Packers as well as potential picks that could help them in 2010 and beyond.
If it is not too early to discuss the draft, it is not too early to discuss who should be conducting the draft. Fire Ted Thompson now! Sign a good free agent GM and there will be no need to worry about the draft.
I think everyone is getting a little crazy on the
fire Thompson now thing. We were a mess before he
came on with Sherman,s free agents & draft picks.
He of course has made draft pick mistakes like
HARRELL,who can't stay healty. But look the history
of Green Bays track record of 1st round picks of OT's 85 Ken Ruettgers, 89 Tony Mandarich, 97 Ross
Verba definitely nothing to rave about. This year's
top OT picks have not even played this year.
You can't see the forrest for the trees. FAs and draft picks are the means to an end, nothing more. It is the results that matter. Under TT's mismanagement the Packers are 34-36. Before TT the Packers regularly won and made the playoffs. Since TT the Packers usually lose and seldom make the playoffs. If you consider the Sherman era a mess, you must consider the TT era a disaster. The Packers and their fans deserve better than TT or Sherman. There are better. The Packers need to bring them in.
Let's get some more WRs!
