Honestly, despite my confidence in most of our receivers, I would not mind at all if Derrick Mason joined our team. I would like to see us make a run at Gainther as well for the OL.

I would like to see our young receivers getting lots of field time. They've got tons of potential. However......a veteran like Mason would help them--if the price is right. I DEFINITELY don't want T.O., Chad Ocho, Randy Moss or anyone like that. They're just bad news and bad for the team.

Mixed emotions on this one. I feel like Mason is a great WR but I also feel like our guys are on the cusp of having a breakout season. I think our O-line is more of an issue then the WR position and focus should be on the O-line. So I guess if I had to chose I say no on mason save the money and fix our O-line.

i wouldn't worry about a veteran (wr). i believe we are fine with what we have plus, what we drafted. things started to turn out for our (wr's) last year and i believe we're set there. look, if dhb does not cut it? so be it! i believe he will. c schilens kind of injury prone but it's just a matter of chance now. you have ford who still has the shot at the title this year and murphy is a hard worker and now you got your brand new draftee's that sound nice. this is dhb's break out year!

Grandmother becomes NFL cheerleader The newest performer on the Oakland Raiders' sideline squad is also the group's oldest member.

It's really tough to say because you never know what's gonna happen to who. Shilens's health can't be trusted, so signing Mason may be a good idea. however, Louis Murphy and Jacoby Ford have proven that they can get the job done. DHB will either make or break this year. Mason does know Hue Jackson's offense and he's more of a leader than TO or OCHO. I say the OL is a higher priority especially since Gallery is on his way to seattle. He'll regret that after they have a losing season and we win the superbowl (wishful thinking).

I still wouldn't mind getting Mason. I had him on my fantasy team last year. He can still play, that's for sure.

Besides, he would bring veteran experience that would help our young receivers.

Also, he (or any well known receiver) would draw the defense giving our young receivers a better chance to get open. If he's cheap enough, sign him as a decoy.

and i'm not saying don't get mason and or that he wouldn't be a good fit or anything like that. "i" personally feel that our (wr's) will do it for us this year. they are young but "NOW", with more experience. they now know whats expected of them. and i don't recall who said it (RAIDERfaith)? that i would rather spend that money on the O-line.

I myself would rather see us beef up the OL, but I won't complain if we sign Derrick Mason just because I know he can get the job done. I really want to see Zach Miller re-signed and Jarred Gainther signed.

if, by any chance zack miller were to not make it back to RAIDERS, which i think he will, brandon myers is just as good! one hair less than z miller but just as good. AND, with great blocking skills as well. good hands.

Jared Gaither visited the team today so maybe that's a sign that he's interested in being a Raider. Hue Jackson said in his press conference that health was the main concern with him but I think he'll sign.

I'll bet he signs soon. I read Hue Jackson's press conference script and it said that he was concerned about his health, so if he shows to be healthy and I'm sure he will, then he should be a Raider soon.
