My fingers are crossed for your family - good luck!
I read there may be issues between county ordinance vs carmel. if the do find in favor of Baker, I hope they give him only a penny...or maybe he could win a week long tour of feral communities....lol...
That would be poetic justice, wouldn't it?
This guy is such an ass.

My family and myself deeply appreciate your support and crossed-fingers. Honestly. It's very comforting find support and encouragement on here when most people writing here are only interested in arguing. Thank you very much!

The reason why the verdict wasn't decided that day besides the fact Jason took too long asking the same 10 questions over and over was due to the carmel ordinance. My aunt's lawyer said there isn't anything in the ordinance that is specific to feral cats, but there is in the Hamilton county ordinance.(In which she would not be held responsible for damages). Also, the judge was unfamiliar with which ordiance would take precedent over the other.

In this day and age.. the only ignorant people are the ones that dont realize the location under the post'rs names is where their ISP (internet service provider) runs their server. Almost everyone on here is from the area. Technology meet Ted, Ted this is technology...

I only wish the judge would force this creep to pay her attorney's fees. As a law student this case makes me wish I was a practicing attorney now so that I could represent her pro bono. It would be a pleasure for me to help this lady, whose only crime is having compassion for homeless animals. God love her.

Thank you so much. My aunt was actually blessed to be given free representation by a giving man. The lawyer's wife is involved with the "feral cat community" - if you will. So when she heard about this, he reached out. You have no idea, well you might, how helpful his knowledge and generosity has been.

Jason, Have you forgotten or didn't you know that "Panthers are Cats, too?
Panthers pay you a salary to live in the luxury you do. Think about it. Without them, you would be nothing.

And people in third-world countries living in huts with nothing to eat, no medical care and flies buzzing around their faces 24/7 think THEY have problems. They've got nothing on this guy. Why I think I'll start a charity just for him.

They must have copied it from the Charlotte NC news Observer as a article about this problem appeared here quite some time ago.

We Panther fans love our or your Jason Baker and glad to have him here.

But I must say that he should have called the human society.

Did the neighbor go on his property to feed the cats cause then he could have had her arrested for tresspassing or shot her.

Either way--I am a cat lover and since these were ferel cats then the neighbor should have called the human society instead of feeding them. Sounds like a lame neighbor here or I should say there!

Sorry, but in this city the Humane Society is a kill shelter--if they don't get adopted they get dead. On the other hand, the Animal Control authorities understand the value of feral colonies and encourage TNR as a non-lethal, humane manner of dealing with these animals.

She didn't go on his property to feed the cats; they lived there and they came over to her property for food. What makes having the cats picked up and eventually killed (you cannot domesticate a true feral cat) better than allowing them to live and be cared for? Define "cat lover"--you seem pretty vague on the concept.
