Raiders are bad, refs are worse

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

How undisciplined are the Raiders? How about four false starts and three offsides penalties by halftime? How anemic? How about 200 minutes between offensive touchdowns? How embarrassing is Oakland's franchise? ...

The pass interference call was absolutely ridiculous. Do they get these guys from high school JV?

I usually try to give the refs a break. They make a lot of calls during a game and most of them are right; it's inevitable that they make a few mistakes here and there. But Hochuli is starting to build a track record of real screwups. He needs to go.

How the mighty have fallen. I remember how everyone used to fawn over Hochuli and his biceps, now his crew gets the games with the least national exposure and they still have to huddle on every call. Seems like he apologizes every week. I want to see an interview with him now, whats going through his mind.

the refs have been horrible for a couple years now. one reason is, the head of officiating never admits they're wrong. you ever watch him on the nfl network? he' horrible! i can't wait to hear him explain the many bad calls in the washinton dallas game. good game dolphins, next time don't be so conservative on third downs and we won't have to worry about winning in the last minute.

it's to the point you can't even teach your players to be aggressive anymore because they'll be getting flags all day. they might as well be wearing flags on their hips. pass interference calls are getting worse and worse each year.

The NFL also acknowledged a mistake by referee Ed Hochuli in Denver's 39-38 victory over San Diego on Sept. 14. Unfortunately, there was no recourse. This guys crew is usually solid but not this year. Should some calls be open to instant replay? I think controversial calls over 30 yards should be.

Hochuli's entire crew has less net worth as officials than a small pile of cow manure, and NFL fans would be put out of their misery if the entire crew were put in front of a firing squad and executed.

False start number 7 errr...number 87...oops number 77. And the player is not guilty of spiking the ball because he was out of bounds...yet the clock continued running to the two minute warning. He looks like he has old timers disease.

They say yeah we made a mistake, but thats it...Maybe these penalty calls should be reviewed...The refs really are stinking it up this year..
