First, Suggs talks about playing for the Cardinals and now this. On both occassions, he was talking to local media. I've noticed that either he doesn't care or doesn't think that what he says will reach Baltimore.

Remember suggs is 26 years old and as a young man will talk before thinking. He has a right to go for smith but the coaches believe in Flacoo, as most Ravens fans do. Let's focus on sunday's game and not the same old who the QB. It's getting real boring.

THANK YOU. Some one speeks up and tells it like it is.
Everybody knows with a BRAIN that Troy is the better QB this year and we have a better chance winning with Troy in there. Im sure everybody will bash and cry over this news but its the truth numbers dont lie.

suggs should shut his trap and try to get a few sacks this year, something he has had trouble with these past 2 seasons

I'm glad Suggs is thinking about this, but (a) it isn't his decision, and (b) why does anybody care? It's not like he can do anything on the field that can help or hurt his team's quarterback (other than penalties, and he's shown no sign of that sort of stupidity), and his opinions are worth about as much as any other player's. Me, I think Flacco is doing a pretty decent job right now, and he doesn't show too much sign of being wrecked by starting him too soon - he seems extremely level-headed for such a young guy. Remember the expectations going in this year - 8-8 would be better than we expected. And Suggs is doing his usual splendid job. I say, let him talk.

Suggs is an idiot and should be fined/suspended for a game. It's clear that certain players on the Ravens have a preference for Smith and it has nothing to do with his talent at QB(hint, hint). We need to ship Suggs out in the offseason for a 1st rd pick or package him for Boldin. The press never really called him out for saying the Ravens would quit on Harbaugh if they lost to Miami but that we equally as stupid and shows you his mindset. It's time to clean out the garbage in Baltimore.

You're as dumb as Suggs, which is pretty bad. Smith is a CFL player at best. It's clear that certain Ravens and fans prefer him no matter who the competetion is and it's not because of his talent.

And those numbers would be...? The 3 fumbles in 12 career rushing attempts? The substandard completion percentage this preseason?

Stop with all the Troy Smith for qb. Flacco has more games under his belt and tell me what has Troy Smith done when he did start a game or two last year? He didn't hit his receivers, he couldn't get away from the rush. I don't remember any TD's. I remember one or two decent runs but nothing that made me think he should be qb'ing over Flacco.

This year Suggs has managed to make me lose all respect for him. It seems like almost all of the stupid comments coming out of the Raven's camp are coming from him.

Screw it. Let him go next year. He's not worth dealing with the lack of discipline and the stupidity.

It doesn't matter Bob. None of the Troy Smith supporters, including Mike Preston, can give any reason why Smith should be starting. Nor can they refute any of the reasons why he shouldn't be starting. I think we can all agree that had he not gotten that tonsil infection, he probably would have been named the starter. But the fact remains that he did get sick and we didn't have anyone else. And the way the league works, when you have a first round QB, once you put him in, you owe it not only to him, but to the financial investment you've made in him, to give him at least 30 games, barring a complete meltdown. Not even Kyle Boller had a complete meltdown. I mean meltdown in the Ryan Leaf, Cade McNown, Akili Smith, Alex Smith category.

So until the Troy Smith supporters can come up with sound reasoning as to why he should be the starters, the best bet is to respond to them in the same way you'd respond to your little toddler daughter when she says she wants to grow up to be a unicorn, "yes, honey that's nice." That oughta do it.

With the way these guys (Sizzle and McAlister) are shooting their mouths off whenever, you'd think Billick was still the head coach.

And for everyone out there clamoring for Troy Smith -- he will never be a productive starting QB in the NFL. Not enough arm strength and not enough accuracy. Case closed.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Virgo

Words are flying around in all directions today, and the conversations will be fast and furious. You might face a lot of distractions and interruptions, or you could get caught up in some rather irritable slanging matches with a certain person. The busier you are, the more fraught you'll become and the more likely to go off the deep end.
