This season has already been a total success. Harbaugh and the team have already accomplished so many positive things for this team that will carry on to next year and beyond. We've played great football and kept it together even with:
* Huricane that screwed up our bye week
* Shooting ourself in the foot by being undisplined. i.e. Steelers game
*Refs blown call on Suggs costing us the Titans game
* Most injuries of all NFL teams
* Last Sundats loss to the Giants. We made earily mistakes, but came back to make a game out of it by showing guts and toughness. Only to come up short against very good Giants team

All that said if we want to get in the play-offs this year (which was not even in the picture as the beginning of the season) we must go on a 2 to 4 game winning streak starting this Sunday against the Eagles.

"McNabb hasn't topped 250 yards rushing in a single season since 2003."

"This season, McNabb has carried the ball 23times for 88 yards" (3.8 ypc)

"McNabb is fourth in the league in passing yards (2,711), second in passing plays of at least 20 yards (36) and 10th in touchdowns (14)."

I'd be much more concerned about McNabb beating us with his arm rather than his legs.

Yup just another stupid article making things up. He can still throw the football and the Ravens still cannot stop the pass bottom line.

Rich,

Yep. I had this team winning 5 maybe 6 games this year.

All that aside, this team has an opportunity this Sunday to shirk off last Sundays debacle, prove they can play with the NFC East, and remain in the playoff hunt.

Make no mistake, though, Philly is a formidable opponent. Forget the Bengals game - that was an anomoly. They have aleady beaten quality (winning record) opponents (Steelers, Falcons) and played the Giants and Skins very tough. They have been in every game this year.

For us to win, which would be huge,(and to me an upset) we have to:

1. Control the LOS and establish an extremely strong running game - similar to Houston game - right from the get-go.

2. Protect Joe Flacco and keep him in comfort zone where he can confidently manage the game and eliminate/minimize TOs.

3. Pressure McNabb and control Westbrook and force them out of their comfort zones.

GO RAVENS !!

Ravens defense is rated 8th in the league against the pass.

Ah yes the wonderful world of meaningless statistics. Anyone who has seen a Ravens game knows the secondary is far below average. Pennington had 295 yards, J. Russell burned them on several plays and the great Kerry Collins ate them for breakfast to the tune of 65 yards in about a minute thirty. Manning toasted them at will, Rosenfels marched down the field at will etc. The Ravens play ball control is why the statistic is over inflated. If Braylon knew how to catch that game would have been another toasting.

Getting within 10 points and having the ball. Ah! never mind, you'd never understand. Only people who appreciate, know, and enjoy the game would get it. Yep, you've got it. That leaves you out.

Yep your right. This Sunday we are playing one of the best. Not only that, but after last Sunday they have something to prove to themselfs besides also fighting for a play-off spot. Very tough game but as Coach Harbaugh says "we are going to show up". GO RAVENS!

Stewey, you're smarter than that right? There was a window, the one Preston talks about all the time, where the Ravens had the chance to get back in the game and we blew it. It was a closer match minutes into the 3rd quarter than the final score would indicate. You did watch the Cleveland game right? Same thing.

If you look back at McNabb's career the week after he has a bad game he comes back the next week with a monster game. Last week he was embarrassed both on and off the field. His strength has always been running out of the pocket. To win we have to contain him and not let him get out of the pocket. He's not as mobile as he once was but he can still hurt us.

Randall Cunningham had it; So did Warren Moon. McNabb never had it, doesn't have it now, nor will he ever have it. A career of what ifs and nothing more.
