The ONLY protection the IU football team can get, is to FIRE BILL and hire a real Head Football Coach!

www.firebill_lynch.com

Our only protection is that Purdue does beat IU and we don't go to a bowl game.
I for one believe in HEP. But the "dream of 13". If we do play "13" IU will give bill an extended contract/or a contract and we will never more forward. The football program will never move beyond a 5 win season.
IU will never beat a Big Ten team.
IU needs to hire a coach with a name, recruit out of Indiana, bring in some Junior College players that can step in right away and be role players.

Lets hope for a 0-0 tie and Tiller goes out with Lynch.

Its unfortunate both squads have floundered down the stretch. This game could have gotten some big publicity this year, but now its sort of dulled a bit.

I see a high scoring affair and the losing team's coach getting the axe.

Notre Dame sucks, and that all there is to it. Charlie had been coaching someone elses team, and now that it's all his, his coaching ability is coming thru. Why hasn't he been fired yet? Ty Winningham was fired way before this point in the season. IU will be housing the bucket this year. It should be a good game...and close. I don't see Purdue firing Joe Tiller, even if they lose. Bill Lynch?....that's another story.

GO BIG RED!!!

It matters not who Purdue plays. The opposing team needs only to know this, Show blitz and do it and the reality of it Painter will never see it. Painter has yet in three years seen a blitz coming or made a single adjustment for one. I'm a PU grad. but blitz away and sack away IU. That's the only way we'll ever get rid of Painter. Kick him to the curb like Hance and others that have come before Joe. Do it before the Joe must go gets rolling.

Control your life, get Direct TV, it is great and has the Big 10 Network. It also has double the number of HD channels.

Ogre, unless you're working on Saturday, you know you COULD go to the game. Go support those Hoosiers.

Side Note: Did anyone else notice Tiller's off-handed remark, "I'm not saying they're better coached this year." What a soulless human being. Not better coached - perhaps because our head coach DIED just before the season started? Joe, the more time you spend waxing your white-trash 'stache and the less time you spend talking, the better off we will all be.

The Big Ten network is awesome. Won't need it though, as I'll be at the game, watching Painter get sacked and pressured on every throw. I wonder if he'll out do Manning for INTs. ;)

You took that comment wrong, he didn't mean anything bad by it and was probably overcompensating to not be taken wrong. Go back to your Eric Gordon article and spew your ignorant hatred there.

I don't have any great love for Tiller, but wouldn't you think that him saying last year's team was coached better would be a compliment of sorts to Hoep?

Chris, that's probably a decent way to look at it. I just like finding new ways to dislike Tiller, I guess.

We better be able to do a better jog of the pass rush and sacking than we did against NW or we are in for a long, long afternoon. I think rushing the passer will be the key and if PU has protection and time to throw completions it will open up the run and we will be introiuble.

I have said all year that I wanted this year's IU team to "play thirteen" -- as long as they lost #12. Now it appears that IU must win #12 just to get to #13. Can't have that. Although I'm scared to death of Lewis and Hardy, if the Boilers can keep Painter upright, we should be able to win out.

Go Boilers!

BOTH COACHES KNOW FOOTBALL.
They might know it, but they don't always show it.
I am an IU grad working for PU (don't ask)...I bleed cream and crimson and would love for this team to reach Hep's goal to play 13. But, if the IU coaches pull the same bush-league stuff they did at NW, Purdue won't have to score an offensive TD. When Lewis got knocked out of the NW game for a play and the IU coaches called a pass play (to the flat, no less) for a cold QB with little experience...I thought it was the worst play call I had ever seen. Who in their right mind would call that play with so much riding on one game...the whole season might have been flushed down the toilet with that one bone-head play call. They had to have that game, IMHO, so they could go into the Bucket game with no pressure. The other giveaway game was PSU...Lewis practically gave Joe Pa that game with his butterfingers. Those two games would have put them in the 13th game without question...but they just don't know how to win yet. So, now, they have a must-win game Saturday...and frankly I don't like that pressure for this team and coaching staff. If the Hoosiers are reading this, remember two things Saturday....PRESSURE PAINTER and DON"T FUMBLE!!!

For those of you who didn't see it, the afore-mentioned pass at NW was intercepted and returned for a TD...Momentum gone, game lost.

Stop all bitching, both teams could beat the Weis coached ND by 30+ at this point in the season. ND would love either coach.

I can't wait to go to the game. STOP HATING ON TILLER. Purdue has players in the NFL taken in the first round last year. They are a little down from years ago, but come on before Tilller they were a joke.

You're an idiot. Coach Tiller and Coach Hep were friends - and Coach Tiller and Coach Lynch are friends.
