Seeing that for the past year there were problems in the secondary,I don't understand this move.As for the other moves,I'm pleased.I have had enough of Mike Martz lack of concentration on the defense.

You should be VERY pleased with this move. Witherspoon was one heck of a force at LB for the Panthers, and as a Panther fan, it really pains me to see him go. I understand your secondary concerns, but you have just added one YOUNG quality linebacker who will be a force for years to come.

yeah, for a team known for its' defence, witherspoon led the team in tackles for the last two seasons. he is quick, aggressive, smart, and most importantly, young. He is a wrap-up tackler, not one of those "try to bump the guy down" types. he is also quite effective against short yardage passes.

I coached Spoon when he was about 9-10 years old when he was playing in a 12 year old division and knew then he was special. Good luck spoon on you next step in life. I am glad to see you and Pee Wee do so good. Coach Joe Van Vactor
