I was very pleased to read about the suggestion that Buckeye fans, who have a bad rep but are really the best, give a standing ovation to the Navy Middies when they enter. It is giving applause to all our servicemen in proxy. I used to sit near the away team's entrance and always cringed at the Boos. Silence is okay, but boos are just poor sportsmanship. It makes us look bad.

What about Michigan? You don't believe in booing your rival?

NO. I believe in loudly supporting your own team, and not ever booing at THEM either.(as I have heard when fans are unhappy with a play or player)

I just like to see a good, clean, football game. Since coming to Ohio, I am amazed with all the depth in talent OSU has in football, year after year. The way OSU manages their quarterbacks from the top appears less than acceptable. The way Todd Boeckman was treated and guided last year is unspeakable after being selected as the Big Ten first team quarterback. Pryor makes a better WR based on the performance last year. I would not be surprised with three or four losses this year.

Boeckman was not ripped off in any way. He didn't put up his senior year after being selected first team QB, and they had to make a change. When it came down to it, Tressel had two options. He could leave Boeckman in to play out the rest of his season to be a nice guy, which if his struggling could have continued and people would only remember his bad senior season. Or he could put in his freshman, whom he knows is going to be huge, and get some experience in him knowing that this year Boeckman is gone and its all up to TP. It was a good move, and this year we will see the payoff. Can't expect him to do that great thrown into the mix as a freshman, but he held up quite well and showed Tressel how to set up the offense around him. I think we will see many new looks this year, and with the trio of running backs, young and fast receiving corp, and improved O-Line, we should be able to turn some heads. 27 hours and counting...
