David Jones is smoking crack. And I don't mean the pure stuff, he's got to have some ****ed up chemicals in it to truely believe that Michigan State will win the big ten. Even with Hoyer and Ringer, they were completely destroyed by OSU and PSU. Now this year they have no one on their offense. GIVE ME A BREAK! Is that guy an analyst or does he think he's the next Mz. Cleo?

Why so angry Dave Jones? If we play a FLorida Bowl game under Pryor, it's because it's the BCSCG or Orange Bowl.

Guys don't get so angry over Dave Jones. He's another one that will look dumb founded when the season is over. I must point out a few things to Mr. Jones and the Buckeye Non Believers. Last year before the Michigan State game, Pryor advised Coach Tressel that if he didn't move the offense to bench him, because it was obvious that he couldn't get the job done. The Buckeyes pounded Michigan State and was 4-1 for their last 5 regular games. The offense scored a total of 168 points during that time frame. Not bad for a QB who didn't show up to campus until June of that year. Keep in mind Pryor was also a fine bottle of wine that was corked to keep the pressure off of him and to allow minimum mistakes, which allowed him a chance to gain confidence and mature. Pryor will be uncorked this time around, and this garbage "He can't pass" will go out the door. Pryor, the new and improved "O" lined, the running backs and new receiving Core will be a nightmare to every Defensive Coordinator they'll face this year. Look for OSU to be a little conservative against the NAVY, and look for them to be down right relentless against USC, attacking like a pack of hornets.

All I took out of this article: OSU is the majority pick to win the Big10, which is actually better than being picked by everyone. OSU does best when they have some doubters out there, and everyone knows this season we have some doubters which unfortunately includes some of our own fans. All you do by being a hater is keep lighting the fire for this years team to come out to win.

"David Jones, Harrisburg (Pa.) Patriot-News
Terrelle Pryor is already being picked as the Big Ten offensive player of the year, but why? He throws like a shot putter. He has made some questionable decisions. He has completed 100 passes as a collegian. I don't get it. I think he'll finish his college career as another JaMarcus Russell. And in the meantime, OSU will end up in a lot of Florida bowl games. Pick: Second. Champion: Michigan State."

Wow. Says Pryor is a terrible passer and then compares him to the #1 pick in the NFL draft who was 1st team all-SEC. Huh? For a guy who makes such questionable decisions it is odd he lead the league in passing effciency which represents effciency and decision making vs overall production. I think Clark or Juice should have been the pre-season B10 OPOTY, but this guy has no clue what he is talking about.

I agree. I think it would be in Tress's best interest to show off a couple good plays to shut up the media, in the game against Navy. Then against USC, drop every play in the book. And for God's sake, don't be so predictable. Oregon St. beat USC last year because there were no patterns to their offense.

Don't expect too much variance in the OSU offense against USC. I love Tress, but mixing it up, especially if things don't go well at first, doesn't seem to be one of his strengths. If the Buckeyes can establish solid offensive results early on, however, Katey bar the door.

Touchy, touchy. Come on guys, Pryor hasn't proven anything yet. Remember how bad his passes looked against Texas? I'm sure he is much better now, but we will have to wait and see.

while there seems to be a lot of buckeye bashing lately, lets not forget they only lost to a highly rated texas team by 3 in last yrs bcs game. this with a freshman qb and without beanie wells most of the second half. i think if they can tune out the media and play one game at a time without looking ahead they will all be wearing alligator boots when its all over.

You know we're damned if we do, damned if we don't with USC. If we win they'll say, "Well, they had a freshman QB". If we lose they'll say "I can't believe they lost to a QB". It's almost like Pete Carroll is starting him to save face.

Unless Pryor has improved a bunch over the off-season, Jones is right on about that ugly throwing motion. But the Mich State pick is a stretch to say the least.

The only player we will miss from last year is Malcolm Jenkins. Odd statement because Beanie had maybe the most talent ever at tailback, but who knew he was the most injury prone guy ever. Lets score some touchdowns!!!

David Jones:

A little envious, buddy? Stung that one of the best QBs to ever come out of Pennsylvania didn't stay in state? And then to cover that up you pick Michigan State over both Ohio State and Penn State? Is this because Penn State didn't recruit Terrelle a little harder and "let him get away"? As you already know, this kid is a winner. He's smart, he's fast, he makes good field decisions, and off the field he's respectful, a good student and a hard worker. Yes, his throwing was in need of a little work a year ago, but he was a FRESHMAN! So don't be sad, Dave. Don't be envious. Just watch and see what happens the first two games of the season and just be amazed!

I was very pleased to read about the suggestion that Buckeye fans, who have a bad rep but are really the best, give a standing ovation to the Navy Middies when they enter. It is giving applause to all our servicemen in proxy. I used to sit near the away team's entrance and always cringed at the Boos. Silence is okay, but boos are just poor sportsmanship. It makes us look bad.

What about Michigan? You don't believe in booing your rival?

I agree if we can put more points on the board than USC than air will go back into my lungs and the machine will roll. And Terrelle will go home and beat (revenge) Penn St. on his way to a possible, I said possible, Heismann.

I don't. It is enough to just kick their butts. I hate the booing of any opponent when they take the field.

My folks live in Harrisburg, the David Jones offering comes as no surprise. He's an OSU grad writing in Paternoland, so he's throwing out his 'edgy' MSU pick to split the middle. The Spartans will surprise, but they're not taking home any championships yet.
