I hope to God they are better than Freeman and Laurinatis. They and the rest of that departing group bored my eyeballs to death. Jim Tressel and his religious play calling didnt help. I want trained assasins on the field, not Gods second coming.
#2 Aug 18, 2009
Basically I want Christians as school teachers and in church and everywhere else as a profession. I dont really want them on the football field, I want thugs.
#3 Aug 18, 2009
whoever ends up starting, better come out of the gate hitting someone! We need a great defense. We cannot allow Southern Cal to score 35 points this year against us.
#4 Aug 18, 2009
Well Matt, the early Christian's could really kick butt on the battlefield, and if you searched it out you would see that they were "trained" assassins as well. I do understand the frustration that your feeling, there have been many occasions that I have tried coaching the buckeyes from my chair. I can only pray that this year they will, as I've posted on another blog, kick butt and ask questions later. I have great expectations for this year--they are a young team, but I believe that they will surprise all of us with their enthusiasm and passion on the field. GO BUCKS!!!!!!

I agree with you, on everything about Tressel...and Freeman...Freeman was slow...on the Outside...Laurinatis had a nice bowl game, his Sophomore year was outstanding, which showed his coverage skills...His Jr year was good, Last year he did not show me anything...was it Laurantis, Homan and Freeman?
Freeman was playing like he is a Middle linebacker...He look good down hill...he could not cover the outside...Homan held his own on the weakside...i saw a little flash of Talent there...
Homan is not slow by no means...He tackles well...good technique and follow through from the out side...i did not see much coverage on his side because they exploited the slower side...I hope Homan (who i am speaking fondly of)gets a little more FIRE and Nastiness...
Tressel...I will keep saying it...IF OSU are BIG 10 Bullies and thats the only championship we want or can get...then by all means Keep Tressel and let him call big 10 plays....If you want OSU to keep Bullying the Big 10 and LOSE every year to QUALITY team on National TV...whether it is a regular season game, Bowl GAME, OR NAtional Championship....Keep Tressel...
However, If OSU want to regain the respect they deserve and Utilize its talent, mix up schemes (4-3, 3-4 to utilize LB Speed and Hine's Potential), Spread Option (to use Carter, Jackson and Fields, Stone-the-Burner...Washington, Small, Posey, Berry etc)...while keeping up OSU "academic" standards...Redo his Contract and make it incentive base...He is too comfortable in his position...If he loses Two big games in a year he gets 200,000.00 if that much. If he loses to USC, Mich, and a Bowl Game, he gets 100,000.00. If the money wont hurt him (Christian belief...God will provide). You Fire his A$$...I really don't care about Conference Championship...thats the ticket to the National Championship or another Bowl game...But Dam to lose all the time...I really don't care about his OSU win lost record...All of this means nothing without Championship Rings....
How Urban Meyer 83-17 as a head coach have two national titles in 3 years and Tressel have 1 in 8 years after playing for 3 of them...I want an answer to that...I guarantee most of the answers will either be the Following
1. Urban Meyer is a better coach
2. Urban Meyer has a better offense and Def
3. Urban Meyer has better Offensive and Def coordinators
4. Urban Meyer Plays better Competition year in year out
5. Urban Meyer ..My Favorite.."May have better players...If that's the case we are over rated in personnel or they cannot reach there potential...
6. Urban Mayer Schemes are way better than OSU
This can be repeated for USC, LSU, AL, GA, TX, OK, PENN ST (well no they in the Big 10)OK st, Ole Miss, A rebuilding Tenn, VT, Believe it or not CAL...
We have lost Respect on the national stage as an Institution that plays football...If he is old school he should know what respect means...It is sickening to see OSU play under his play calling...
Sorry for the long boring whining reply....but he is sickening and he knows he needs to catch up to current times and Offensive schemes (is he gonna implement a wild cat to catch a team off guard? I doubt it...look at his personnel to run it...Berry, Pryor, Orian Johnson, Herron, Saine)....He knows he need an offensive Coordinator and a OL coach....But he will not change...
I am already set for disappointment on Sept 12, maybe against Penn St, and Mich may surprise his A$$..and in the Bowl games...
If we win it all then...so be it...it would be a miracle

I really like your quote it is very calming...
I too is frustrated with Tressel and OSU Footaball
#7 Aug 18, 2009
For each observation you make that is somewhat accurate (Freeman was and is overrated), you offer a dozen or so comments that are so idiotic that you have no credibility. I think the guy who punched Tyler Moeller was swinging at you and missed.
Check out Tressel's record. It compares favorably with the best in college football, including Pete Carroll and Urban Meyer. His teams have taken three bad losses, all to elite teams. Carroll's teams have suffered more bad losses than Tressel's, but Petey is Hollywood so everybody thinks he's way better. Urby lost to Ole Miss last year and Michigan the year before. If you were a Florida fan, you'd be whining and complaining ad nauseum about Urby. Let's face it, pal, you are a big whiner who knows nothing about football and not really a Buckeyes fan. I should ignore you, but I can't resist telling you to shut the hell up and take your crybaby act to Ann Arbor, Gainesville or L.A., since those are the teams you really love.

Ohio State "fans" have got to be the biggest set of whining, ignorant and spoiled losers in all of college football.
#9 Aug 18, 2009
Would anyone else find it funny if Tressel traded in his knitted vest for a leather vest, and OSU just started mauling everybody?
#10 Aug 18, 2009
LMAO...there is a time and place for everthing...
Ecclesiastes 3 (King James Version)
1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
The qoute above is telling me there is a time for Change or something need to be done with the coaching staff of OSU...Restructure all there contracts and if they still lose something is wrong...I believe they have the mindset of the people in Numbers 13
Numbers 13 (King James Version)
1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
My version: And the LORD spake unto Tressel, saying,
2Send thou men, that they may search the land of College Football, which I give unto the children of OSU.
17And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain
17And Tressel sent them to Scout out the Tapes of our Opponents in the land of College Football, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain
18And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
25And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
27And they told Tressel, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
28Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.(BEASTLY PLAYERS on other teams)
30And Clarrett, Clifford, Boren, Bell, Rolle, Hines, Heyward, Williams and Others who has the FIRE and BEASTLY Traits in them stilled the people before Tressel, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
31But the men that went up with to scout the opponents video tapes said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
32And they brought up an evil report of the College Football land which they had searched unto the children of OSU, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.(Better Competition)
33And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.(Bigger faster opponents)
I am not trying to Mock the Bible or Anything but this is the Impression i get of the OSU coaching staff especially Tressel

Lay off the paint chips, k? And, ah, please take your medicine. Come on, bub, we're all pulling for you to snap out of it.
#12 Aug 18, 2009
Wow, and you are the poor [email protected]$%$# that was so bored that you actually took time out of your typical blogging (probably while playing video games like World of Warcrap or Everquest) to come onto a Buckeye's website and write that clever response. Good for you.

One thing is for sure, you live a sheltered life. Turn on the tv every now and again and read more headlines. How about make some travel plans and get out of one of the largest college towns in the World. I lived in SEC country for quite a few years and it is the same story everywhere you go. To top it off, you have the same losers, such as yourself, making the same comments as you just did. Or wait, maybe you can't get out because nobody wants your igmorant a$$ working for them somewhere else. If you don't like the atmosphere, get out. Whining is everywhere, but true ignorance only comes from comments such as yours.
#14 Aug 18, 2009
Wow, looks like I hit a nerve with the BuckNuts. Thanks for proving my point.
#15 Aug 18, 2009
Go BUCKS! Tressel takes a lot of heat for winning most of his games and losing one game a year (the last few years) to a team thats top 5 caliber. HE's won 1 out of 3 National Championship games won quite a few BCS bowl games, but the last 3 years have lost in bowl games and as typical, we get the what have you done for me lately attitude from a lot of so called fans. About 115 college football teams wishes their team was as good as OSU every year. People who say Tressel needs to go, need to really look at themselves in the mirror and look at what they've accomplished as human beings in life. I doubt many can compare to the class act Jim Tressel has done with the kids at The Ohio State University!
#16 Aug 18, 2009
Thinking you have proven something is almost as ignorant as your last statement. Do us all a favor and head back to school or at least grab a dictionary and look up the words prior to typing.
#17 Aug 18, 2009
Oh my, here I am down in SEC country already catching heat. I tell them, "How come you won't
come North in Dec. to play us, you'd find out why the Big Ten plays their style of football".
Sounds as if my Bucks are really not that experienced. Hope I'm wrong. Pre season hype is
running strong everywhere. And, oh yes, basketball will be worse. Come on Bucks, help me out.

Storm Klein WILL be the next "Big Thing"
PSU has nuthin on tOSU when it comes to LBs.
IMHO, tOSU should not only hold that title but these titles as well: "Wide Reciever U" and "Runnig Back U"
"Corner Back U" by right should be thrown in there too, but I wont be too greedy.
#19 Aug 18, 2009
Thanks. Just keep making my point, OSU wannabe.
