Receiver grabs passes, not the spotlight

Discussions about Ohio State's receivers seem to start with whether DeVier Posey will develop into a true No. Full Story

I think Dane could be a nice slot receiver if we ever threw the ball. He does get lit up more than anyone I have ever seen though.

It'd be nice to have a kid from the Toledo area contribute for the Buckeyes. Tressel seems to still miss out on a lot of really good players from there, like Brandon Fields and Fred Davis who are both in the NFL now. I think that Jack Mewhort, if I'm spelling his name right, could be the Toledo area guy that finally makes it big at OSU, though.

He is a solid kid. He gets lit up so much because he will continue running his route until the play is called dead. He will go out and extend to catch a ball knowing he is going to get hit. This is the kind of guy you like to have as a No. 2 or No. 3 because you know he isn't the most talented, but will put his body on the line and get hit to move the ball. He kind of reminds me of Anthony Gonzalez without the raw talent, but with a lot of determination. Posey, Thomas, maybe even Carter are going to make some huge plays along with Ray Small (he will be playing a lot), but Sanzenbacher is going to be the guy to take an 8-12 yard pass over the middle just to get the 1st down and won't be afraid to put himself on the line. He will silently be the core of our receivers this year.

That he is....he is what we need, a tough guy that isn't afraid to sacrifice himself for the team. We need more players like him.

Toledo is a wolverine breeding sheeithole. I used to live in NW Ohio, and believe me, those kids are brainwashed at birth to wear maize and blue.
