PFT: Seahawks-Packers ref admits call 'probably' wrong

Oct 4, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: MSNBC

A cottage industry emerged last week among a small handful of contrarians who pandered to Seahawks fans by suggesting that the events that concluded the Monday night game between Green Bay and Seattle were handled correctly.

Are there still envious idiots out there that feel a need to defend the obviously wrong call? Good. I love it that some people are sooooo scared of the Packers that they need to deny the obvious. The day that people think they don't need help from the refs will be the day the Packers suck.

The Seahawks are pretty clearly in a rebuilding year. I can't imagine that win will do much for them besides contribute to a "feel good" situation entering next season. I'm actually rooting for Russell Wilson to do well, but I just don't think it's realistic to expect too much his rookie season. A team doesn't necessarily need a great QB, but winning with a rookie isn't easy in the NFL.

Probably wrong, Probably right
whats the difference?
doubt is doubt
One thing for sure is the Pack lost which will cost them a playoff embarrassment like last year

True,
But if we didn't embarrass ourselves, you would still be looking for a superbowl victory since Favre was poppin downers and being a drunk

Funny you mention that about favre- i happened to have met him at an autograph show about 4 months after the pack won super bowl 31 in mass. and he was wasted as hell.First he was late and when he finally showed up, he looked like hell.He had bloodshot eyes- i was surprised he could sign autographs but for a guy that had a few too many he did pretty well, my autograph mini helmet looks decent.

Isn't it bad enough that your team is constantly being embarrassed by the Packers? Now you embarrass yourself with such a childish comment? Grow up.

What choice did he have? Would he look better by denying what everybody knows? It's like admitting that the world is round. You are merely admitting what is common knowledge. If you deny it you simply sound stupid. Would it make him more hireable if he said: I not only make mistakes, I also never learn from them!

I don't think it was nice. It would have been nice if he had done it much sooner. To do it now is merely selfserving.

That was my point,i was being sarcastic. It was nice of them to admit screwing the Packers out of a win a few weeks after the fact. They are doing it to save face and to minimize the damage and some credibility.

Whats the excuse this week? The Colts? LMFAO. You have been out of sync. What is the record since the start of the chief's game last year? How's it look from the bottom?

They are off, but, there is 11 games left and plenty of football.Chi still has a few games left vs good teams like SF,GB,Hos. and considering CHi is hte benefit of not only the worst call of the year,a screw job in Seattle and the call that brought the real refs back to work but, CHi. as had an easier sch. as of now,so like i told the other Bears fan, lets see where we all sit after the year is done and both teams have played a somewhat same schedule,The only team you played who is good, well, you got your ass handed to you,so we will see how everyting works out...GB has 4 division games at the end and Det towards the middle end of the season ( around game 9 or 10 or so_)and GB hasnt lost a division game since sometime in 2010 before beating Chicago twice, once to the end of hte season and in the NFC title game.so it may have been Chicago in week 3 of the 2010 season.

I don't know. What is your excuse? As long as the Packers keep dominatig the Beears Vikings and Lions we don't needan excuse. What is your excuse of the 5 staright wins the Packers have over the Bears? Is your excuse that the Packers are simply the much superior team? Or is it that the Bears are simply too crappy to beat a bad team? I'll let you decide!
