Chris Turner is w/o a doubt the best QB to come out of MD since Boomer. Last week was just one of those weeks....hheeeeee's BACK!!!! Go Terps!!!

After watching this game, it is my belief that the score is not indicative of Terps total domination.
California was help immensely by poor officiating. I sae at least 4 holdings by Cal that weren't called. Even Andre Ware in the b'cast booth was wondering what game the fficials were watching. In any event a win is a win

Great win by the Terps but it just reconfirms for me that Fridge should be fired. Before people slam me for being negative let me explain. First, bringing in Portis when Turner was in a great rythym killed a drive and nearly turned the momentum. Then as is typical in the Friedgen era when we have a lead we get way too conservative on offense and defense and end up making the game way too close in the end. The last point I want to make is that the fact that we lose to 10 by Middle Tenn State one week and then beat the 21st ranked team the next shows that the coaches cannot prepare the team properly for all opponents. It's easy getting up for a game like Cal but the coaches aren't doing their job when we can't beat a team like Midd Tenn St.

Chris Turner is a good QB and if Friedgen would just leave him alone and keep him in there this team can make some noise.

I don't think this week makes up for last week. We played like a high school team last week and a college team this week. I want to see college players every week. Scott's the MAN and Meggett's right behind. So for now, way to go...but we'll see.

Anyone else see Best puke on the field after having his clock cleaned in the 2nd quarter? Of course they're not going to replay that on TV, but there's always youtube!

Couldn't agree with you more. You don't play every game on ESPN and it's the coaches responsibility to get you team ready to play every week. If you can't motivate your team then find something else to do RALPH. Now all the kool aid drinkers will come out of the wood work and say how great Ralph is and you people that jump on him after last week's loss should find another team to cheer for.

Maryland plays to the level of the opposition.

Wha is disturbing is that the kicker missed another field goal and the defense gave up 21 points in seven minutes. Good teams don't do that. What happened?

Did not see this coming. Lets see if we can beat the bad team we play next week. We should be able to blow them out.

Clemson Road Game will show us what team we really have.

Is CAL that good? Are we That Bad.

Glad we one! Hope for more effort like this.

I have to agree great play on offense an defense up until middle of 3rd quarter, than for some srange reason we went in too a soft defense and a slow down offense you should only do this with about 6 mins in a game with a demanding lesd not for 23 mins and let the other team back in too the game... anyways great game Terps go on and win the Acc but do not let up. Go TERPS Go

Fridge is a great coach. That shows in the wins against top 25 ranked teams.

He has wandered as a head coach. Getting himself into disruptive situations is common.

Losing to Middle Tenn is an example and of course benching a QB that as a rookie starter beat two top ten ranked teams for a guy that never proved strong in game situations.

Its too bad that he lacks the full package of consistant winning common sense, but nevertheless he will have his job so until he calls it quits, this is it. Not so bad really.

Maybe every now and then he will have the head screwed on at a perfect 90 degree angle for an entire season (like in 2001-2003) and we see another BCS Bowl.

That was about as nasty as it gets. Right as the camera zooms in he projectiled antifreeze-looking barf like in the Exorcist. Felt bad for the guy but it was kind of funny. What a hit! Why can't these guys play like this every week?

Turner has shown over and over that if you let him play alittle, and stop that annoying conservative run on 1st and 2nd down against an 8-man front - leading to 3rd and long - he will make plays.

Jeez, just let the guy play and hopefully they can see that you can pass to set up the run sometimes.

Cosh - no more 3 man fronts please - that soft zone has never worked since day 1 and almost cost us.. not sure why you play it like fool's gold.

Congrats to the players for proving me wrong.

So very glad it was a win. Very proud of the Terps for their performance. However, you all missed fireworks in front of section 24 today. Coach Solazzo (Spazz) was acting like a total and complete d-bag, and was more animated than usual at about the 7 minute mark of the 4th quarter. Surprise, surprise. He threw his clipboard not once, but twice AT his charges. First time, it hit Harrell in the right shoulder, good thing he was padded up, still a d-baggie move to make and very Bobby Knight-esque, probably even punishable and at the very least, he owes both a private and public apology. Second time, it landed in the garbage can only to be retrieved by a poor Gatorade-toting minion, talk about demoralizing. And here you have Ralphie talking about the team being "dispirited." Our group couldn't think of a quicker way to take the wind out of the sails. He needs to re-leash Solazzo. That sh+tty behavior doesn't belong at our Maryland sidelines nor at the college level. These young guys aren't getting paid to have things thrown at them. Navarre looked like he was going to cry, hard worker that he is, and the guys sitting around Harrell just hung their heads in a sense of public humiliation. By the way, my entire family, we are major Terps fans and boosters. Major. This is just my first notice to the University that some members of Section 24 witnessed this behavior. Yow and Fridge will hear from us. The Sun might want to "Enquire" John Edwards style as well. Oh, and a couple of ESPN operators saw it too. Good thing they looked the other way. Nice job Solazzo. Another 5 minutes and we surely would have lost the game just on messing with the heads of the defensive line. Maybe some of our issues on that front are because they don't see Solazzo as a leader??? Just sayin'.....
