Keeping all the players that beat The gmen twice is commendable, But as long as our secondary has Roy Williams, we won't be able to beat them when it counts, in the playoff, they always seem to line up Shockey or who ever against him and we easily get beat , fix the darn secondary and we will win the superbowl, leave it like it is , well get used to the results!!!

I'm afraid getting rid of Roy at this point would be devastating to our cap structure. He is only one year into his new deal. Release or trade him, and you have to pay all of his guaranteed money immediately (and it would all count against this year's cap). We are only $4 million under the cap now. He is there. Our only viable solution is to minimize his time in coverage. Moving him to LB in the nickel was a good start. I also think he can have a solid impact on special teams. Hopefully, Pat Watkins can step up at FS, and Hamlin can move to his more natural SS position. We will have to wait for a more cap friendly offseason to move Roy. There is no getting around that.

So, you are saying that we would still have to pay towards his contract if we traded him in the off season?

Yes, Roy is a problem but he was not the reason we lost that playoff game. The entire team was unfocused and cocky. That comes down to coaching and Romo going Hollywood on us.

Not exactly. The other team would pick up his contract and actually pay, but he would still count against OUR cap for this season. It's called a cap penalty. Even if someone wanted him at that salary, trading him would actually hurt our cap structure. Better to make do until he has played 3 years of that contract and spread out some of that bonus money.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Taurus

Are you in listening mode today? Let's hope so because someone wants to bend your ear and they're hoping that you can spare the time and energy for them. Although your first instincts may tell you to give them plenty of advice, try to stop yourself volunteering it unless it's asked for. Even then, you may get the sense that you're really being asked to listen, not talk.
