Of all the things have taken place in the off season, this one's the most interesting to me. As a Bears fan, I wanna see how the D-Line improves under this guy. If they still can't get to the passer by game twelve..."BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Because that will drive home the fact to Lovie and Bears fans around the world that being a good friend doesn't translate into victories. All the Bears have to do is find a way to take advantage of a premier quaterback falling into their laps. Just get off the field consistently. that will be enough.

The Bears are the team to beat, period!! The Packers come in 2nd at 8-8 or 9-7. Just ahead of the disappointing Vikings who go 8-8 or 7-9 this year. Then the Lions break out and go 6-10. GO BEARS!!

The Bears are really lucky to have Rod Marinelli. Forget aobut the dismal records at Detroit. This guy is a coach and will make a tremendous impact on the Bears' success and run to the Super Bowl in 2009.

I know that Marineli bombed in detroit, but what coach could be successful when his boss is Matt Millen?

Rod's Detroit failures shouldn't concern Bear's fans.
There's a big difference between coordinating all aspects of a game as a head coach and getting down and dirty in the trenches. Rod knows that this is where he excels and will pull the D-line together and get the best out of them.

I like marineli but what were you expecting to hear. "Yeah, the D-line is a step slower this year under Rod".

I remember when wannstadt came in, all the hype was how fast the team was and people are flying around everywhere.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I'll believe it when I see it as well. This seems like another typical Bears "oh, Eric Kramer sucked when he was at Detroit, but we'll get him and he'll be awesome!" maneuver.

Not every coach in the NFL was destined to be a great head coach. The league is filled with solid position coaches and coordinators who have not or would not have been good head coaches. They are different skill sets.

The bottom line is that Marinelli has coached some of the best NFL d-lines ever, so I'm going to give him the benefit of his record, and accept the fact that he probably won't be a great head coach any time soon.

Here's to hoping he can get No. 93 and No. 91 to produce and earn their FAT contracts.

With all the praise this guy is getting he better come through. He's either going to be considered a hero if the d-line plays to their potential or a goat if the d-line plays like last year's line.

I hope he can do something because butt boy Bobbie has been a failure since he hit town. Maybe if Rod does something Lovie can send Bobbie back to the house to be his pool boy. Now we just need an offensive coach with a brian who won't allow the QB spot to fall apart yet again. Then Lovie can do nothing on Sunday, which he is extreamly effective at, and the team will look good again, or until he feels threatened and runs the 3rd set of new guys off. Look out Texans here we come!

Spoken like a true fair weather fan. Yeah rivera is probably laughing cause he still has a job! After blowing that playoff game last year for the Chargers. As his defense gave up over 40 points!! The Bears already learned when he lost us the Superbowl giving up 430+ yds of offense & almost 200 yards rushing. At least we moved on,as he blows it in big games. So rivera is probably laughing at the suckers who are still giving him a pay check. I did love Rivera the player though, just not as a coach. Go Bears.

Hopefully he can get Urlacher and Briggs back to Pro-Bowl caliber. Welcome to Chitown, Coach! We're honored to have you!
