Full story: San Francisco Examiner

The Oakland Raiders are still conspicuous by their absence from the headlines on ESPN, which means they are not killing their cap.

We don't need Lelie back...The main guys we need back are Jake Grove, Rashad Baker, Justin Miller and Jon Alston.

Ya, i liked Justin Miller a lot last year. Especially when Johnnie Lee was able to focus on being a PR and WR, not all 3, then he really started to show up big time in games.

I can really only see our 1st pick going two ways right now, either its gonna be crabtree(he might slip to us due to the foot issue) or we are gonna get one of the two top offensive tackles.

I am truly split as to which i would want more, but either way i am extremely exicted to see all of our young players build a team up.

Now here is the questions:
What is a realistic W-L record for the Raiders in the 09 Season?(keepng in mind we have a tough schedule)
I am thinking 7-9 or 8-8.....

somewhere around .500 with a strong finish would make me pretty happy. We are def a long shot from the playoffs if for no other reason than SD and Denver are both teams on the up and up.

Sooo, 7-9 or 8-8 is do-able and i think we can keep getting better

KC just got a whole lot better too....they have a new coach...Cassells and Vraebel at LB....AFC West is on the up and up as a whole... I hope I am wrong but I feel like we will be battling for 3rd in the AFC West.
Unless of course our offense clicks early in the season...then we have a hot at 1st or 2nd....I think the Chargers are on the decline.

If the Raiders can score consistently, there as good as anyone in the AFC West. KC may have Cassell, but it was the lack of defensive pressure that was the issue. Denver may have revamped the defensive backfied, but the D-Line was the issue. San Diego presents the biggest challenge and the Raiders will have to outscore them to win.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Scorpio

The last thing you want right now is to be left alone, because you're feeling far too sociable for that. You're very outgoing right now, and will manage to hold your own in any social setting. If you're hoping to turn someone's head, they'll be putty in your hands once you give them the full impact of your charm and personality. They don't stand a chance!
