49ers get QB battle started

Mike Singletary hopes receiver Isaac Bruce will decide his future with the San Francisco 49ers by April 1. The coach's decision on a starting quarterback probably will take a whole lot longer.

Why on God's green earth are we not interested in Jay Cutler? Come on SanFran this is the type of stuff that irritates me to no end about 49ers ownership. Who's calling the shots here, The Looney Tunes?

The 49ers organization has some serious underlying issues that are top-down. I am starting to get a feeling that most of the bay area sports teams are extremely dysfunctional on some level - i.e., the Warriors and all of their front office issues with Rowell, Nelson and playing time for players, the Raiders (two words - Al Davis), the fall of the Giants after Barry Bonds and then signing the "bargain" Barry Zito, and the 49ers with the York aka Cheap Dynasty. The 49ers haven't had a legitimate quarterback for five years or so, and I think most people would agree that the quarterback position is just "slightly" important. Tough times for bay area sports. I apologize if I haven't addressed the A's and Sharks, but I don't follow them closely enough to make inferences - this doesn't mean they are perfect.
