TOMMY MADDOX WAS A GOOD "TEAM PLAYER", AND A GOOD Q.B., I DOUBT IF ANY OF YOU GOOF BALLS WOULD HAVE GOTTEN BACK ON THE FIELD AND TRIED TO PLAY AGAIN AFTER A HIT LIKE THAT.
IT WAS A SHAME TO SEE THE WAY THE FANS THREW GARBAGE AROUND HIS YARD TOO, THATS SOME REALLY LOW AND CHEAP B.S.
IM FROM BETHEL PARK PA, AND LIVE IN FLA.
AND I BELIEVE IN MY TEAM, AND AM ADULT ENOUGH TO REALIZE YOU CANT WIN EVERY GAME, AND THAT IT IS PRETTY CHILDISH TO BERATE SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD A GREAT CAREER.
MAYBE SOME OF YOU WILL HAVE TO FACE THE END OF YOUR CAREER BEFORE YOU ARE READY, AT LEAST HE HAD THE HEART TO TRY AND DO SOMETHING FOR YOU IGNORANT UNAPPRECIATIVE FANS.
GOOD LUCK GUN!

I tell ya, Tommy Maddox was a sight for sore eyes after watching former below average QB's like Mark Malone (the interception king), Cliff Stoudt(pelt me with beer bottles in the USFL please), Scott Campbell (this guy was terrible), and Bubby "I don't mop up for no-one" Brister. Big Ben is a younger tougher QB of the future, but very injury prone, but Maddox is not that bad of a quarterback. Charlie Batch got extremely lucky this year, but I remember some of his wasted years in Detroit and some of the bonehead plays he made there. I hope Maddox can catch on somewhere else. Good luck Charlie...

I keep checking out the NFL news to see if Touchdown Tommy has signed with a new team. It's been a while since we had an update. Does anyone know what his current plans are? Count me among those who think this guy was never given a decent chance after Roethlisberger became the starter. He quarterbacked some incredibly exciting Steeler victories. He had a couple of bad games and wasn't given the opportunity to play out of his slump. In his brief tenure as the starter, Maddox broke some big time Steeler passing records. The guy has a great arm and could be a real find for the team that gives him a chance.

Tommy wasnt the best QB in the world, sure- but he was good until he took that hit. I am glad he was a Steeler. I miss the days when he could actually throw a ball. he was a great influence/teacher for Ben as well. Good luck no matter where you end up Tom!
Neil O? He was a great QB in his time. I think he was actually bought off in the 95 bowl- those werent mistakes he would normally have made.
Hey all you doubters out there, someone who shares my opinion on the Super Bowl fix orchestrated by Neil O. Remember he got bought out by the Jets the next year? I just watched that game on ESPN classic and it still makes me sick to see him destroy our teams chances of winning the super bowl against the hated Cowboys. No there were no mistakes made that day by Neil O, just by Cowher for sticking with him after watching the horror. Well it took us 10 years but were back. By the way, I have never had any love for Turnover Tommy, but I would have never trashed his yard just because he was a better insurance salesmen than QB.

They may want to get Tommy back. When will teams enforce rules on these players that they can't ride motorcycles w/o helmets, period! Way to go Ben!
