I have to admit, I was rooting for Luers to win, because I am from Fort Wayne. Even though Luers is our biggest rival, I will always cheer for them in the tourney. But reading this article, Heritage Christian must be one class act school. My school has been on the losing end of the state championship a couple of times and it is hard to look past the loss and see what was actually accomplished. I'm sure coach Qualls and his players were disappointed in their loss, but what a great perspective he gives on the season and the future. I could not see the game on TV, but listened to it on the radio. Sounds like a heck of a game and could have been anybody's game. People talk about the unfair advantages that private schools such as Heritage Christian and Luers have and maybe they are right. They are allowed to use the Bible as inspiration and turn to their Lord and Savior for guidance. That is truly an advantage and unfair that public schools cannot do the same. Congratulations to both teams on a tremendous season. Just remember, you may have lost the final game, but there were 60+ other 2A schools that would have loved to trade places with you!
