Well we have had some damn good safeties the past few years, our front 7 has been loaded now we have to build up that CB pool with quality and quantity. I think Lo Wood is going to be pretty good this season. The one good thing is that they will all be tested and the best we have will be out there when we play against USC's two talented recievers. I just feel sorry for Barkley that day. I have a feeling he is going to be on his back a WHOOOOOOOOLLLLLEEEEE lot.

If your boys try to put their clamps on Woods and Lee, Barkley will just dish underneath to Farmer or dump passes out of the backfield to McNeal and Redd. MY feeling in the Irish will be seeing Redd that day!!! HaHa

I hope he dumps it off, those poor guys will end up in the hospital. Teo, Williams, Tuitt and Shembo are all 4.5 guys that will destroy them.
Should be a fun game. Really all depends on our QB and secondary, if neither get figured out, it could be similar to last year, if we do show any improvement in those who areas, I like our chances a lot better than yalls.

Dan, respectfully so and not saying this just to be a smart ahss (like I do a lot LOL) but my gut still says USC wins our match up by 21 points!

Your offense couldn't score 21 before and won't do it again. You have a weaker O line and stopping is will be harder. The big part of your game was running, and we got stronger against it as the young guys got better. I think you can beat us but I think it's a toss up at the moment, as the season moves forward that can all change. I think USC and Florida State are ranked based on the unknown more that any two other teams in the top25 because of how high they are ranked.

Ranked based on the unknown? With the five I already mentioned along with a returning 4 year starter and Heisman front runner as our QB, and you call THAT unknown? Dude, I know you are not looking forward to USC being back at the top again, but others (not just Trojan fans) and admitting to it too!

I do think USC is a great team, they are right up there with Oklahoma but Oklahoma has more depth. I want yall to be good but to many people are rating them based on nothing at all bad happening (injury) and them improving on many many fronts. Just be realistic and not so bombastic.

BIG Dan. I really do not like that word bombastic. It hits home too much for us Bruins and the pompous barrage that the Trojans beat us with every year.:(

I just wish we could all get along :)

The (lack of) depth talk about USC is vastly over emphasized by the media. Our starting 11 on both sides of the ball are 4 and 5 star players and our subs are mostly 4 stars. Most other teams besides the great traditional powerhouses, drop off to 2 and 3 star players as their backups. I LIKE our chances!!!

You have good chances but this year, I don't see any one team being dominate yet. I think Bama and LSU have problems, I think Oklahoma is in the mix, Oregon. I am just not sold on everyone saying FSU is great, we played them and they were not. When I say depth, I don't give a crap about how many stars they have, if stars matter that much USC should have never lost a game over the past 10 years and we all know that isn't the case. It's depth at positions that take time, O-Line, D-Line and LB. Those require those guys to mature more than a skill position does. That's all I am saying. I'm not saying that the glass is half empty but I'm not going to call a half full glass, full. That goes for my team too.

Unfortunately for my team the Bruins, there hasn't even been any liquid in the glass for years now :(

ND is looking better and better each week but I still do not deter from my revised 14 point (now upset) victory over the Irish. Lee is unstoppable if our damn coaching staff get put their brains together to get him the ball more...
