I wanted CW to stay as the coach...I didn't want to lose any commits that he has. Coaching wise I feel he is a disaster. Clausen has lost his progress as have others. Whose fault COACHES...period...'Tenuta and Brown are the only ones who have been able to get some progress out of the team..

Why these writers now are running into diffusing on story they wrote before.
Now brian hamilton writes an article. Pass to Fred Mitchell and then someone else. I dont care. ND should not be written on IL's paper. If tribune does not seem to do that. Move to south bend and write whole news paper.. Get a life. This is Illinois not Indiana. Ok? I already have stopped subscription to tribune. It is even getting worse now ...Just keep on ND but not in chicago area. we dont care just spin it and pass to different writer. ND is making free 500,000 on their bowl game on which they dont deserve it. Oh I forgot. May be writer covering the game will go to Hawaii..
that figures.

It has become the national pastime to turn your anger towards coaches - everywhere you look coaches are being fired and fired upon incessantly. In some cases, families of coaches are threatened - horrible we have come to that.

As for Weis - sad, but very few coaches in the country could handle the ND job and most don't want it. He has had a rough two years - 08 was tougher given they threw away several games. Weis gets another shot - if he fails then he is history.

If you are really an Irish fan - you hope they have a good game in the bowl - Charlie gets a dose of needed humility - major offensive changes in terms of coaching and schemas are made and they get off to a great start in 09. If he goes 10-2, beats USC and goes to a major bowl - the naysayers will slither away back to their sewers. Go Irish.

As for Mike - suggest you move to Iraq or similar if you don't like the media covering ND. Sorry , but you are in the minority.
