Eagles add Vick to 53-man roster; Baskett released

Full story: The York Daily Record

Michael Vick can throw passes to his teammates instead of ball boys. The Philadelphia Eagles elevated Vick to the team's 53-man roster Tuesday, a move that allows the quarterback to practice with the team.

Great news! The SPCA kills more dogs per day than Michael did in a lifetime. Sounds like a good one to get the discussion started (can't wait)!!!

Here we go with the "What about the other guy" card.

So how do they kill them?

Do they pick them up and violently slam them to the ground, like Michael "The Dog Torturer" Vick did?

Do they strangle them with their bare hands like Michael "The Dog Torturer" Vick did?

Do they lynch them and sit back and laugh while they squirm, wriggle, and writhe, like Michael "The Dog Torturer" Vick did?

Do they take a hammer and violently knock out all their teeth like Michael "The Dog Torturer" Vick did?

They just give them a nice little needle and puppy falls peacefully asleep; dead as $hit, just like Mikey's doggies.

as we wish you were. and that's not how Mikey's dogs diedThe details that got to me then and stay with me today involve the swimming pool that was used to kill some of the dogs. Jumper cables were clipped onto the ears of underperforming dogs, then, just like with a car, the cables were connected to the terminals of car batteries before lifting and tossing the shamed dogs into the water. Most of Vick's dogs were small - 40lbs or so - so tossing them in would've been fast and easy work for thick athlete arms. We don't know how many suffered this premeditated murder, but the damage to the pool walls tells a story. It seems that while they were scrambling to escape, they scratched and clawed at the pool liner and bit at the dented aluminum sides like a hungry dog on a tin can.

I wear some pretty thick skin during our work with dogs, but I can't shake my minds-eye image of a little black dog splashing frantically in bloody water ... screaming in pain and terror ... brown eyes saucer wide and tiny black white-toed feet clawing at anything, desperate to get ahold. This death did not come quickly. The rescuer in me keeps trying to think of a way to go back in time and somehow stop this torture and pull the little dog to safety. I think I'll be looking for ways to pull that dog out for the rest of my life.

Wow, LOL!!! Now that is the reality, they are as dead as the dogs that Vick killed. Where is the outcry, and the SPCA was doing BEFORE Vick got involved!! What does the SPCA call that shyt, population control??!!!

Hmmmmm "peacefully asleep" or Michael "The Monster" Vick picking them up and "violently slamming their little bodies to the ground repeatedly" crushing all the bones in their body until their dead.

Yes, There is a super-mega-huge difference. But that's okay if you can't see it.

Oh my heavens. "What about the other guy"...

So does this mean the race card is officialy retired or will it be brought back by popular demand after the "What about the other guy" card turns out to fail miserably as well??

Give it time you Turd-balls!! About this time next season, Vick will put foot to/in the ENTIRE NFL's asses!!

This is about football. All you dry rags, need to let it go, give it up, and move on with your lives. Vick is playing again, he is in the league, and he is upholding ALL of his commitments to dog rights, and he is talking to the youth, who having nothing else to do in nation, about falling prey to the herd, and fast money, and quick cash, through the abuse of dogs!!

Vick is doing exactly what he said he would do, and you goof-balls are groaning and moaning, doing nothing with your lives, but bellyaching about how evil Michael Vick is!!! What about you SICKENING MOFO'S!!!??? HOW EVIL ARE YOU???

I dont know if they do any of that, but its certainly a possibility that atleast one if not many of them are participating. We dont know until its reported as in the case of Vick. What we do know is the following:

The Head of the Humane society is in favor of vicks return:

http://newsroom.blogs.cnn.com/2009/08/14/huma...

I know that this clown doesnt practice what he preaches:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32569213/

Nor does this group:
http://www.petakillsanimals.com/article_detai...

I know that there are many shelters claiming to Love animals but do the following:

http://cbs2.com/specialreports/animal.shelter...

I know That pink is an animal rights activist and is furious with Vicks reinstatement yet chose to dismiss the safety of her own beloved pet knowing his routines and the following occured:

http://www.theinsider.com/news/17176_Pink_s_D...

But youre right, we dont know if they torture Pets in the methods you listed. All we know is Hypocrisy is everywhere from PETA to Pink and Vick is out there doing his part to combat further dog fighting--regardless if you believe him or not, hes doing it and people--kids are listening to him.

If you truly are concerned with Animal abuse, the attention SHOULD be with "The other Guy", the other guy that we know definitively to be committing these acts -NOW-, Vick isnt one of them, as disgusted as you are with him, he is not.

what Pachelle REALLY said. Vick needs extensive counseling and does NOT need to be reinstated for at least a year so that he can concentrate on his recovery.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0905/2...
PACELLE: You know, I would say it's premature at this point. Michael needs to demonstrate that he's going to put boots on the ground and really fulfill his pledge to fight organized animal fighting.

KING: Now, whether he will or should get a second shot, of course, is widely discussed all over the country today. He's a great player.

more from Pachelle.
"PACELLE: Well, I think we've talked about this a little. I've talked with Billy and some of the other folks. I think it would be good for Michael to get some psychological counseling. Now I'm not really clear on the psychological evaluation.
You know, Larry, it's more widespread than people have any idea. Michael Vick's case brought that to light. "

PACELLE: I think the heightened awareness because of the Vick case. I think our main argument is also being advanced; not only is it cruel, but it's often associated with other criminal activity. A lot of folks involved in dog fighting are involved in narcotics traffic, violence against people.

I think the law enforcement sees it as a curse and a plague in communities.
REALLY?
