Bears flop in season finale

The only scoreboard watching necessary for Bears fans Sunday was at Reliant Stadium, where the Houston Texans ended the Bears' playoff possibilities, handing the visitors a devastating 31-24 defeat. Read more

Another big game and again the Bears looked like they couldn't have cared less.

They are either a very bad team or a team that is not coached well. Either way this dismal season lays squarely on the shoulders of Jerry Angelo and Lovie Smith.

This team would have gotten blown out in the playoffs, anyway. Unlikely to change much next year with the defenders under contract, Lovie, Babich & Turner, plus our franchise QB Orton.

Time to stay of the Edens! Briggs and CO. have too much money and too much time on their hands.

That defense was pathetic for pretty much the whole season. 31 points is a disgrace. Those stupid losses early in the season seem pretty huge now.

Talk about a choke! But they did better than expected. Right? And because of this underachieving attitude, the team will do nothing to improve during the long off season. Just like last year.

Please Bears fire Lovie and his crew now or I will sell my PSL's.

Yet another lifeless performance from the Bear's D. Unfortunately, I do not see an easy way to fix this team. Too many draft busts and questionable contract extensions. I do not see a big improvement for next season. Let's hope I am wrong.

Easily the worst effort I have ever seen. Glad we extended Urlacher- worst player on the feild all day, Harris- another horribly erratic game, nice penalty dude, and Tillman- still the most in consistent player in the league after 5 seasons, FIGURE THE NFL OUT BRO! Please do not extend Neck beard, he is not the long term answer. Where the heck was Matt Forte, and do not tell me Adrian Pete Pete Peterson was honestly a better option. Lovie is the real Joker here letting his ego get in the way of extending Chico Rivera. I gaurentee Chico would have had an answer for Andre Johnson. And Angelo, take a hard look at what a legitamit number one wide reciever can do for your team. I hate Chicago Sports! I have not seen this much choking since the Hillside Strangler. Happy New Year!!!!!!

The Bears are a disgrace. Get rid of the pseudo offensive coach Turner and the inept Defensive coach Babich. Time for a change!!!!!!

What else is there to say. A most uninspiring performance by the Bears. Overpaid defense and mediocre offense. The Bears aren't Detroit Lions bad but they still need to make major changes starting with the defensive coordinator. The Bears are no longer synonymous with defense. With the offense the Bears just don't have enough horses. Orton needs to practice his long throws. I'm sure I'll see more blogs on what is wrong with the Bears. And they will all be right.

Hard to win when you have a quarterback who can't throw the ball more than 30 yards down field and your only downfield pass play is to throw it up and hope for a pass inteference call because your receiver has to come back 10 yards for the ball. Get a real quarteback!!!

The Chicago Bears will never win another title under McCaskey Ownership.

They MUST sell the team.

The McCaskeys make Tribco ownership of the Cubs look like George Steinbrenner and the Yankee Dynasties.

Lovie Smith and his whole staff will probably be fired after next season, and Angelo along with him.

It's just a disgrace.

They were lucky they won last week against Green Bay. They BLOW. If you get up 10-0- you gotta blow that other team out of the water.
