I think you're being far too generous with those grades....

The coaches have proved that converting a returner to a receiver doesn't work. The "Devin Hester Experiment" has failed. Put him back on special teams only.

Tommie Harris likes to talk the talk, but he doesn't walk the walk. How much room is there on that wagon again?

How to neutralize Urlacher - put someone on him.

Offense - 3 pts? F.
Defense - What defense? F
Special teams - Ayanbadejo didn't matter, right Jerry? F
Coaching - How does Babich still have a job? F

Offense (3 points scored)- "F"; Defense (no sacks, 200yds rushing, 200yds passing)- "F"; Coaching Staff (Do they prepare at all? Make any real adjustments??)- "F"!!!!!!

Why aren't the Bears ever graded "F"? If there ever was a game where some segment needed and "F" this was it!

So Urlacher's lone interception warrants the D- instead of an F?!?! I think not! The rest of his day was either spent staring at plays that Mike Brown was making, or on his back. I saw Urlacher just standing there before the plays kicked off, not even in his usual stance. On the goal line TD, he was being pushed back and he was facing the back of the endzone. Why?

When I saw Orton limping on the first few plays, I knew something was wrong. The guy should NOT have been out there. He could have had another week of rest and Grossman could have played. What difference would it have made with our Defense giving up 37 points?

You may as well erase those grades for the Bears, because the Bears were not there so they can't be graded. That was some High School team out there dressed in Bears uniforms.

Actually I take that back. I wouldn't disrespect ANY High School team like that.

I'm embarassed to be a fan this week. The team and coached better get it together.

D's and C's?

What? After that embarassment?

I don't know what area was the worst, but D's? What?

Time for the palyers to shut up and deliver. if they are capable of it. if they don't like the fans criticizing them, then play better. The coaching staff needs to come up with a new scheme. Everyone has figured this one out. Orton needs to be 100% before he plays again. The way a quarterback has to plant their feet, they can't be worried about ankle sprains. His injury probably affected his stance and his throwing.

They stink!!!

and I can't help but to recall a commentator stating the front 3 of the defensive line Urlacher, Harris, Briggs, are all commanding salaries equivalent to a quarterback. Either one of them should be able to rally the team.

How can anyone give Urlacher credit for an interception ?

His man had him beat by two steps...... and Urlacher caught it ONLY because it was so badly underthrown.

It SHOULD have been a Packer TD !

F is the only grade you can give!!!!Pathetic!!! Babich the Clown has to go!! Better yet Lovie take the job @ Tenn and take the coaching staff with you. The worst coaching staff in the NFL!!! The saddest part is even when the team is getting stomped players are on the sideline joking and carrying on and noone says anything!!!! The team does not have any heart and are way overpaid!! At least Singletary has it right you do not want to give everything that you have to win. Then get off the field!! I would rather watch a team with lees so called talent play with heart and pride that comes with wearing that uniform, Tham a bunch of overpaid crybabies who have got the money they felt they desrved and do not care If the team wins or not!!!!!

How can you give the defense a D-? When you give up 37 points to the other team and they never touched the opposing QB they do not deserve anything above an "F". Coaching was even worse so an "F" is deserved there too. This team sucks is all you can say.

Come on Vaughn, are you drawing a salary from the Bears? That effort and performance was a failure in every which way a football game could be graded. F's the entire way is the actual grade. Why you feel the Bears deserved passing grades throughout, and even a barely below avg. grade on special teams is confusing. If you can't, or aren't, willing to be more realistic with your grading, perhaps the Trib needs to allow someone else to score the teams results. You're supposedly a newspaper reporter Vaughn, are you not?

Mr. McClure, The coaching staff should get an F. When your man-handled in the first half and blunder play calls as the first half comes to end and make no adjustments in the 2nd-half this equals failure.

I mentioned this in a previous post, Rick Morrissey wrote an article entitled "The Bears defense a holy mess." Then he said this:

"How about this: The Packers had 427 total yards to the Bears' 234; had a 24-9 advantage in first downs; and had the ball almost 15 minutes more than the Bears."

Thats an offense problem. If the Bears could score (god forbid) 6 touchdowns in a game then we wouldnt be having this conversation. Should the defense shut out every team every week so the offense has an excuse to do nothing? We should call the team the Robbie Gould Bears since Robbie Gould is the only guy consistently scoring points.

We should have the two teams in the City League Championship put on Bears uniforms and see how they do.

Bears defense just flat out SUCKS. If they don’t line-up 8 in the box they can’t stop the run anymore …they paid big bucks on the defense side over the past two years, outside of Briggs NO ONE has shown up with results that got them the “Big Money”! When dose Smith start benching some of these poor performers. It wouldn’t hurt to see a little excitement or at least prove your still alive Lovie.

If one thing was apparent after yesterday's game, it is this:

We need to establish a grade lower than F in a grading scale.
