Perhaps it's because they're so frustrating this year after bringing such high hopes...... Who would have thought that the D would completely implode and the WRs would be so bad.

Dimz?

Hah! Hell, none of us really predicted a season this good, what p*sses me off are the wons that we COULD and SHOULD have won!

Time to re-tool methinks!! Dump Grossman, keep Orton & Hanie and draft a new QB + some wide receivers!

Do you remember that before the draft, we felt that there weren't that many holes to fill.......... OL, and RB, and maybe a fine tune or two.

After the draft, most of us felt that the Bears should have done better, but they weren't a total disaster,... although not a top ranked team.

Now, it seems that there's no way in hell that they can solve all of their problems in one draft !

We went from "almost there" , to "almost total crap" in one season.

Even their wins this year left a lot to be desired.

Very disappointing.

I wasn't bashing you as much as trying to look at the Bears realistically.
They aren't a good football team, and the fact that they have come so close SHOULD make me feel good about it. And most years, it would. But, somehow, this year it just doesn't.
Perhaps it's because they're so frustrating this year after bringing such high hopes...... Who would have thought that the D would completely implode and the WRs would be so bad.

They have exceeded my expectations. I saw them in Bourbonnais. We were looking at Rex at quarterback and wondering who he would throw to. We were wondering if the offensive line would be any better than last year. We were not sure how the running game would perform without Benson. We were wondering how Urlacher would perform after injury. Would Harris play and how well? Would Brown return to form after injury? I was hoping they would get four wins. They already have eight. If not for the Atlanta fiasco and a few other close games, they would be clearly in the playoffs. I'm still not happy with the offense and coaching seems to be lacking. But I still maintain that it is about winning and I have seen far worse Bears teams in my life.
