Grossman is primed for a break out year now that he's no longer playing for the Bears.

What about Rex,

You messed up on your statement. You need to remove the word "break" from it.
Rex is not coming back to the Bears.
Rex can't even find a job as a water boy in the nfl. He will even have trouble getting a job in the new united football league that starts this fall.

Poor Rexy...
And poor Rexy fans...
The trade to Denver should be enough proof that Orton was better than Rexy....
They could have gotten Rexy for Free and then they could have gotten some defensive help from the bears instead of Orton.

Who gives a crap about wRex and ShOrton they both suck... We have an NFL QB now!

I think Forte should be on the list over smith. Forte had a solid rookie year but only averaged like 3.6 ypc cause an unnamed weak QB couldn't get defenses off the line. I look for his ypc to go up to the mid 4 range and that should give his total yards and touchdowns a big boost as the offense will be moving the ball more.

Also Hester is poised for a huge season. He is the defacto number 1 and has unmatchable speed and now a QB that can hit him long.

I can't wait for football season!

He can't have a break out season until he officially gets on a team. Which has not happened yet. Sorry Rex fans. The simple that the entire league has passed on this guy should tell you something. If he signs anytime before camp, I'd be surprised. But Drew RosenMouth is one hell of an agent.

The Writer I hope is correct about JRuss having a good season....Which if that happens by default our WR's should have a good season...we definately have the speed at WR to cause problems for defenses.....just depends if our unproven WR's can catch....only time will tell...

Kudos to the Bears for getting Cutler...that is an upgrade...however...I am not so sure it is enough of an upgrade...you have to realize he had a star WR to throw to and a good TE...in Denver...He goes to the Bears and a lot depends on Devin Hester...If his health is there then he has the opportunity to have a special QB/WR relationship....if not I am not sure Cutler will make that much of difference...Grossman and Orton over the past few seasons did a lot with little WR talent....So it will be interesting to see how Orton does with a star WR....his game should improve too....

Denver did us a big favor by trading Jay Cutler to the Bears. I just hope Orton doesn't become the all star Cutler was with Cutler's old weapons.

Aren't we all happy the Bears passed on Branden Albert for the injuried Chrissy Williams last year...."After playing well as a rookie, Chiefs tackle Branden Albert could take his game to a Pro Bowl level as a sophomore" - this is exactly what I was saying prior to the 2008 draft....UUGGGG.

This could be HUGE for Orton...he hasn't had any WR's to pass to...Hester was hurt a good part of last year and now Orton has a Star WR...Denver...may have gotten the better end of that trade...time will tell....The Bears getting Cutler could be like putting a Hemi in an 81 ford escort....doesn't do much unless you have the rest of the team to compliment it....and there WR's were weak last year....

Dont worry,he wont. I am a die hard Bear fan and Orton is really just a back-up Q.B(but a good one),Denver will see. Remember that the Q.B makes the receiver. The Broncos Royal and Marshall were relatively unknowns Marshall was a 4th rd draft pick! Cutler made those guys shine and they will be ordinary this year without Cutler. They will get frustrated cause Orton can only run a dink & dunk offense with his arm. Orton could not utilize Hesters speed & talent because of his weak arm,but Cutler will be able to use him well. Cutler will be going to Hester deep very often. With Cutlers arm and Hesters speed and ability to find the end zone. This is going to make them a dangerous tandem for opposing defenses! Now Cutler can help our receivers to shine.Take care and good Luck. Go Cutler! Go Bears!!

Being a Bear fan I can tell you our receivers were weak because we had a weak Q.B in Orton! The Q.B makes the receivers not the other way around! That fact is going show on the field this year for both teams. I really liked Orton and followed him closely obviously, but he is just a good back-up Q.B. I hope Denver doesnt waste as much time as we did to figure that out. Orton is a statue and doesnt move,he is a easy target for a sack! We have had capable receivers here,Orton just doesnt have a NFL arm,Period. Thats why some said this is where receivers die,is because of our Q.B! He just cant get the ball where it needs to go unless it is within 15 yards. You cant be successful like that and it showed. Luckily he had a good R.B in Forte to take some pressure off. Orton is the check down king, thats where most of his yards came from(Forte 63 catches). He gets pressure and gets too jittery. Sometimes he throws it right to the linebacker, who runs it back for a score. At practice he always looks pretty good, but he is not the same when there is pressure from a real game. Orton was basically a throw in,or we wouldnt have given 2-1st rd picks,if he was that good. Orton only cost the Broncos 1 mil on a 1 year contract,so they had nothing to lose. Orton wont last as your starter thru the whole season. But good Luck!! I am thrilled to have Cutler & cant wait to unveil our new offense this year. Bear Down! Go Bears,2009 division Champs!
