I can't believe anyone thought this guy wouldn't have been an upgrade bfore the season started, I was salivating when I heard we signed him, sure the injury thing was there but he wouldn't have came back if that was an issue.

teamwork is what couunts and thats what it takes to beat pittsburg. We need all receivers present and the best secondary defence we got to win the game. Our defence front has been great and we sure pray they put lots of pressure on big ben. go vikings.

This can't be true ESPN's whatever his name is says Favre brought schism to the Vikes locker room. Funny how we forgot whats his name already and how well the Vikes and Favre are doing in spite of whats his name.

Brett has made us the worst 6-0 team in history. Worst 7-0 team after Pittsburgh. Respect is for sissies.

Jackson is where he belongs..............the bench. Childress was insane for trotting out Jackson or Rosenfels as potential starting QB's for this team. A team that can make a run in the playoffs has to have a legit starting QB - of which neither of these guys are. When Favre is finally done we need to have someone in the background not named Jackson.

If Favre really, "I mean really", decides to hang it up after this season, there will be another well seasoned veteran at the helm next year. I'm not going on rumors, just a hunch. I really believe that with Brad's ties and Kevin Kolb showing that he can handle running the show, that McNabb will be the Vikings QB next year--again, if Favre ACTUALLY retires.......FOR GOOD.

Knowing that many fans will turn their noses up to this idea, McNabb remains an upgrade over what the Vikings would have, though a slight down-grade from a 40 yr old Favre. Sage will still be around and a viable back-up. And, McNabb still has a few yrs in him if he can stay healthy; which means no 3:1 pass/run ratio. And I really think that the Eagles will take a #2 with an additional pick or player. I don't know if they would get a #1 from anybody at this stage of McNabb's career.

I say this trade happens for the same reason that the Packers decided to part with Favre. They risk losing Kolb while he looks ready.

Let's not get too excited about the way things are going. The way Bevell sees it, the QB play is so perfect, there's no need for improvement.

If you're not improving, you're going backwards. 8 out of the last 10 games are against teams at least as talented, if not more, than the Vikings.

The coaching staff and Favre need to realize that the running game is suffering. Peterson had a couple long runs last week, but for the most part, was hit before he reached the line.

Favre's ball handling has always been sub-par. Slow, predictable, and telegraphed. His play action only slows the rush and kills the running game.

There is room for improvement...can the coaches teach the old dog new tricks? Is the old dog willing to improve?

Minnesota fans are now reading what Green Bay and WI
fans have known and read for years. I have read many
of these same articles but were written in GB. I also
said he will also do the same thing with receivers that he
did in GB. He will make them better. Enjoy it.

How quickly you forget. How about the 2003 Vikings that started out 6-0. They finished 9-7 and missing the playoffs with that devastating loss to the horrible AZ Cardinals on the final game.

Thanks Bob. I was telling my lovely better half the same thing. When we would visit my many terrific WI cousins I would hear all about Favre and want to tear off my ears and hurl but now the stories are relevant and I believe the Vikes could have used him 16 years ago.

i.ve stayed off this blog for the most part because i've just been trying to go with the flow and enjoy the season but my biggest fears are starting to happen. Six weeks into the season and it's no longer about the Minnesota Vikings and it's all about The Evil One. yesterday the report is that it's not Peterson's team anymore, it's fARVE"S today his biggest stat is how HE makes the players better. BULLS*** it's a team game. The reason favre is doing so well is because the O line is giving him all day and the Defenses are putting 9 in the box to stop Peterson. The evil one is nothing special. we're winning so i'll go with it but personally i hope Polomolu clean on a safety blitz and knocks the POS back to the swamp he crawled out of...Than you can all see Sage do the exact same thing only better. GO VIKINGS

Great leaders DO make those around them better. Period. All the naysayers about Favre should be eating crow... Yes, it could change, as Favre has demonstrated. But right now, we have a wave of success brought on by Brett Favre. I watched him 15 years ago and was impressed. Today, I'm still impressed, but not because he is our QB. I'm impressed because he has had an an attitude about leading, about winning, about having fun that has remained constant. Let's hope our other players' play has been elevated enough by his leadership to get us to the promised land. Go Vikes !!!

Lets wish him well in teaching and leading, the Vikings need that more than anything else. They were a bunch of guys out of control who needed dicipline and didn't get it. You live by the rules and you will have dignity. I have more respect for someone who helps his opposing team mate up than winning the game. Farve is that kind of guy, a role model for kids, and team mates as well. We have gotten away from that important issue.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Cancer

You feel the urge to move onward, powered by your wisdom: when you're right, you're right. You may feel that any further explanation is unnecessary, but the people you're dealing with might need it spelled out for them. Take the time to draw a picture or use smaller vocabulary words to get your point across, Cancer. A public demonstration will probably prove to be the last word on the subject.
