Actually, Joe Philbin was with the Packers during the bye week when the game plan was made. He won't be in the booth or in McCarthy's ear during the game as he would ordinarily. His duties have been split among McCarthy and the other offensive coaches. It puts a greater burden on all of the other coaches, but I'm sure they are more than happy to do their small part to help Joe Philbin and his family during this very difficult time. When people have to work harder for this kind of reason, it feels more like an honor than a burden.
