Brother-in-law vs. brother-in-law: Is blood thicker than cheese?

Full story: TwinCities.com

Vikings fan Matt Lechner of Bloomington will root for the Steelers in the Super Bowl -- partly because he can't stand to think of his brother-in-law Randy Czaplewski's gloating should the Packers prevail.

"lives for the Vikings"... "a Packers fan"... Wow... How about try and get a life. Pro sports is just retarded. Why people care so much about a bunch of overpaid dumb jocks who are good at playing sports is just hard to wrap your head around. There's much more to life than stupid "pro sports". If the NFL disappeared in a blink tomorrow, does anyone really think life wouldn't just go on like any other day?

Not to mention, why is the Stupid Bowl played on Sunday? What's wrong with having it on Saturday? At least then people wouldn't have to worry about getting up for work the next morning after they wasted 4-5 hours of their lives watching it, along with way too many dumb annoying commercials, while eating too much and drinking too much crappy watered down American beer.

Go back to your own stinking country and drink your goat milk. If you don't like America, nobody is making you stay moron. I do agree about there being too many commercials. Would you do something about that before you leave?

It seems awfully strange that you hate the Super Bowl, yet you want it played on a more convenient day. Are all you foreigners schizophrenic like that? I don't know about where you come from, but there is treatment available here for your condition. Perhaps that is why you moved here. In that case, do us all a favor and please get back on your medication, see your doctor regularly, follow medical advice, and avoid handguns.

BTW most Americans drink Budweiser which is owned by a European company. Does that make you feel better?

Thank you for pointing that out. The author of this article would have a more interesting story if it involved co-workers or complete strangers for that matter. What a shock. In-laws that don't get along? Who's ever heard of such a thing?

You cared so much as to post here.

What about the beer? Europeans water down their wine. I add water to my scotch. Drink milk if it bothers you that much. No one waters down that.

"....I'll call my brother in law up and offer my congrats..." WHAT? Does he work for the flippin Packers???? This is excatly what I mean when I say Packer fans are much, much different from any other fan out there. That is not a compliment.

They are wired differently, there is a different thought process, a different mentality. When a football game -one you have NOTHING to do with-envelops your life so much so that you permanently decorate your house in those fugly colors, you don't show for work when they lose, and you have more than 50% of your wardrobe dawning those fugly colors, you have a serious, serious problem. Not a good problem.
Yeah, yeah, I'm a jealous Minnesotan....well, no. I'm not. I actually have a life.

The three largest American Beer Companies are all owned now by foreign companies. Miller {the Cheesehead's beer} is owned by SABMiller, London, England and Coor's is owned by Molson from Canada. Even Leinie's is owned by SABMiller.
The largest truly owned American Beer today, believe it or not is Samuel Adams.

Yes, I see that -- you have a life putting your jealously on display for the whole world to see. That does make you a very typical Minnesotan.

BTW in your scenario above, it's the Packer hater from Minnesota that is calling the Packer fan to offer his congratulations. How does that affect the "wiring" of the Packer fan? It is a good indication of how Minnesotans are wired. They are wired to offer congratulations to the fans of other teams. LOL

Your reasoning is completely wrong. However, you are correct that many Packer fans have a different thought process, a different mentality. First, the GREEN BAY PACKERS are the holders of a record 12 NFL Championships. In addition, you are wrong to say that we have nothing to do with the team. It's true that few of us are PLAYERS. However, over 120,000 of us are OWNERS! We qualitatively and quantitatively have a different connection to our team than the average fan.
