I'd like to see this. I'm not comfortable with Harrell, but if Holmgren is willing to cut him lose, I wonder about Colt also. Perhaps it's a money or lockerroom thing.

I agree about not being comfortable with Harrell as the backup. McCoy would be a welcome addition if the price is not too high.

Im not sure i have a problem with G.H. back there.GB has done well with qb's and if MM and TT feel Harrell is ready,im confident in their decisions.
On the other side,IF they feel McCoy is clearly better then G.H. then they would be foolish not to do it,but,is he clearly better?

If you are confident in their decisions, you will be confident if they bring in Colt. I'm not sure if McCoy is clearly better than Harrell, but as you pointed out, the Packers have done well with QBs and I would love to see what they might do with McCoy.

Harrell showed great accuracy at times. However, he was inconsistent. There were just too many times that he had guys wide open and completely missed. I'm not saying he can't or won't improve, but if the coaching staff had that much confidence in him, I doubt we ever would have heard of Packer interest in McCoy. Naturally, the price has to be right, but the rumor is that the Browns may even cut him outright. If you were Colt McCoy, where would you rather be learning? In Cleveland behind a 28 year old rookie? Or in Green Bay behind the reigning NFL MVP with a team that has a reputation for developing starting QBs even if they never become the starter for the Packers?

I think Sharon wants a little Colt around, She has a picture of him in her bedroom

Bottom line is I think it could be a win-win situation for the Packers and McCoy. I see the benefits greatly outweighing the risks.

IT certainly wouldnt hurt to bring in McCoy.You can always cut either one or carry 3 qbs if they really wanted to.Im sure he can be had for a low pick as well.Develop him for a year or 2 then if AR is healthy and throwing, you can trade Mc. as well for a mid round pick.I still like Graham Harrell. He didnt look that bad toward the end of the 1st half and that last drive said alot.

I like Graham Harrell too. Why not? But that doesn't mean he's ready to play should Rodgers get hurt. As I said, he looked good at times, but was way too inconsistent. I trust the Packers will bring in McCoy or someone else if they aren't sure Harrell can handle being number 2 on the depth chart.

It'd be our gain. Cleveland is crazy it they think Weeden is ready for the Steelers and Ravens. McCoy has played well at times, but he takes a beating.
