Hello boys. Looking forward to new season. So... Is it just me, or were the Colts totally not playing the run from 2nd down on? Mac needs to mix in a few more runs/draws. Not sold on the defense's communication, either. Indy was running pretty basic stuff last night and yet hit some big plays. NO will have the whole package ready for us.

Hey NLY, How is been? I caught the end of the first half and the whole 2nd half.Pretty darn exciting ending( even if it was preseason) 11pts in the final 35 seconds is pretty darn good.
It will take a bit to fix things up i think, esp this year with a lesser camp ( but that goes for everyone so no excuses)1 more preseason game to fix it up and you figure most of the guys will be resting for N.O. Defensively they will be fine,i dont think its quite that bad.im worried more for the left side of the line.Lang is the LG,well, he couldn't beat College in a few years,so did he win it by competing with a rookie ( Sherrod) who is a tackle and learning LG OR did Lang improve. In other words will we see a better Lang or the same Lang who wasn't as good as D.C. but is now LG.Im also looking forward to seeing if Randall Cobb will indeed return kicks and be that returner we haven't see in GB for quite a few years .They have until Tuesday to cut down to 80 and they have 88 and then until Sept.3rd to cut it to 53 so again lots of decisions for TT and MM and who stays and who goes, but, a lot of these guys that GB will cut will make other teams,so we will see these guys one place or another.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the line. The run game needs some stability in there. Blocking Dwight Freeney is tough for everyone to block. Chastin West has really come on, in my eyes. But obviously it's a game of numbers. I think he's out-shown Brett Swain, but then Swain's got the "hair." Can't cut the hair. haha I saw mental errors on D. Big plays. That's what the Saints live by. NO will turn the ball over if you make them work it down the field. Good match-up for the fans. Good news so far: no major injuries.

true.Dont forget we are talking Dwight Freeney one of the best early.Things need to be cleaned up.
Im still thinking Grant,Starks,Green at RB.......John Kuhn and i believe Demitri Vance will be labeled FB and Quinn Johnson will be released...I like West and he would never get through Waivers so i believe either TT trades him or just keep him and Swain goes as well.Im surprised Crabtree or Quarless is still there, one of them could have been trade bait.
BIG ONE HERE. Graham Harrell,Knowing Matt Flynn is gone after 11 season ( unless AR suffers a career ender or wants out.) what to do with G.H.? Try to practice squad him ( someone will claim him knowing GB situation) or keep 3 qbs unless you want to trade Flynn ( which i would do if they can sign a vet who doesnt mind being here for a year or 2).Yea,Collins giving up a biggie and Burnett as well, but, again, they have another game and 2 weeks to work out the kinks and if theycan go without giving up the biggie vs N.O. they should be ok.

We get to see GB on Thanksgiving,Christmas and New Years! 1st time in history the same team ( Green Bay) will play on all 3 major holidays! Great for fans as in they are popular enough adn GREAT ENOUGH to be highlighted BUT sucks for the players wives nad families.
Detroit on Thanksgiving and N.Years
Chicago on Christmas
both Detroit games are on national TV and they wont be easy,I will predict Now like last year,Detroit will be a legit playoff team by the 12 season.

Brees and company have been looking pretty good so far. Green Bay D better have their thinking hats on, Brees is tremedous at finding mismatches and holes. I suspect N.O. running game will hurt them though and Matthews will be pinning his ears back. The Packer offense should have no problem against an aging Saints D. I'm predicting GB 24 N.O. 21 with a Crosby kick in the end to win it.

Sounds good to me! They will have to clean up the pass protection though,They have been pretty weak so far.Of COurse last year, they gave up a TON of sacks the first 8 games or so and cleaned it up nicely the last and the playoffs. What sucks is GB will have to cut a few pretty good young WR,so Minn and Chi might be able to help themselves with a new weapon.Down to 80 players, need to cut 27 by Sat.but there are a few with concussions who may hit the PUP list as well as Zombo with his broken clavical,so theres 3 or 4 who may hit the PUP and i can see them trading Quarless, so they may only have to cut 22 or so and a handful of them should see the Practice squad ( if they get through Waivers).I can see both teams scoring.GB defense is pretty good, but, i can see Brees hitting on a few big plays to inflate the numbers and the score board i can see a 34-31 type game for sure and hopefully GB is on top at the end of it.

New Orleans has not stopped the run in the preseason. I think we should give'em a double dose of Grant/Starks and pass out of the three TE sets they were showing a couple weeks back. Finley will eat Harper up.
