The best thing to do about the BCS is to ignore it until someone with some stroke sees the folly of the whole contorted charade!

I cannot understand how a team that beats an unranked opponent can advance in the polls yet a team that beats a ranked opponent on the road drops in the polls. What's up with that? It seems that the pollsters have an agenda that may have been influenced by Mack Brown's constant whining. GO SOONERS!!!

No. the best thing about BCS is the ratings.
Since teh TechvsKU game, Techfans like myself have learned alot about how the BCS works. Or doesn't work.

The media is worst of all. They are reaping all the controversy, and loving it. But the consumer struggles. Unless they live in Norman, OK

The final outcome should at least change the three way tie situation. Of course, it's too late.
But OU could win out and win the NC,
then the Big 12 can say, look the BCS was right!!
But UT will say, But we beat OU 45-35!!!
But Alabama could win out, 14-0,
then Big 12 would say, Oops...
Then I will say, I told you so

BCS was founded by SEC alumni. The SEC is seen as superior to the big 12, and they want to keep it that way.

You are correct. They are superior.

I disagree with the superior theory.
SECs SYSTEM is better. Big 12 SHOULD learn from that.
But the Big 12 is not inferior to SEC.

The BCS game, OU and UF, will be a great game.
I hate OU, but their defense will impress you Big 12 defense doubters.
Florida will be a great opponent for a healed OU team, but I hope a healed Harvin and superman Tebow beat this particular Big 12 team.

Anyone think Texas could play Alabama in a bowl game?

Anyone wanna predict that if Florida beats OU, Tebow wins Heisman II?

I think both teams deserve a shot at the NC but its to soon to put these teams in. Texas got snubbed and that wasn't fair to them. If I were to pick between UF and OU I'd go with OU because of the points they are racking up. 60 points in five games is unreal. And the conference is tougher than the SEC this year. I don't think it will be Chokelahoma this time around. Tebow better drink some Holy Water...LOL!!!

This is the screwed up BCS bowl situation.
There are 5 BCS bowls.
The BCS system creates the rankings.
1 and 2 obviously play for the NC.
So shouldn't 3-10 play in the other bowls? If it's a popularity contest, then admit it is. It just sounds like more media garbage that we are exposed to.

Boise and Utah are ranked by the BCS system. Then they should play in the BCS bowls that the system creates. It's just like your money in the banks. Lies!

Heisman will be awarded before major bowl games, so result of OU UF game will be irrlevant.

Bottom line about this is that there is no good way to break a three way tie for either one postion or two positions. If two advance and one drops out, the one that drops out always will claim they beat one of the others. If only one advances, they always will have lost to one of the others, who will always claim that they were screwed.

Trying to blame this on the BCS is just silly. The fact that SWC used BCS as a tie-breaker isn't BCS's fault - rather that method was designed by SWC. You can understand why SWC did this -they want to give their league the best chance of a team advancing.

good point. Bradford's numbers speak for him.
Tebow's character works to his favor.
Colt Mccoy's place as a leader of a team with fewer playmakers puts his name near the top.

Who will win? who cares....j/k

I loved the banner over the Big12 Championship Game (Hope you enjoy the BeatByTexas.com Bowl). So Bama and Texas would be a great game, I think. The ShouldaTakenCareOfBusiness Bowl. Don't think Oklahoma will drop a 60+ bomb on Florida - after all, they're playing Fla IN Fla, another "neutral" field, just like Dallas. However, I do think they'll prevail. Should be one of the better BCS Championship games - like Texas/USC.
