Comments from **** like Michael just show that too many"fans" don't know "ESPN-made" stars and stats. Earl was a 3 year starter at Notre Dame and a 2 year starter with the Texans (where our new secondary coach came from)where he incurred a serious injury that historically takes 2 years to completely recover from. I'm not saying he's the next Ronnie Lott and may not even make the team, but if you have any brains at all you'd have to say this is a very good signing for the Bears and the fact that it didn't cost a ton, leaves that much more freed up for other moves.
"Very good singing"?
This guy is 2 years removed from Football, coming off an injury, and NO OTHER TEAM thought he could add any value, which is why the Bears scooped him up at league minimum this late.
The only person who thought this guy had any value, was his former coach at Houston, now employed by the Bears. I don't know if that's good or bad, but I do know the Texans secondary was pretty bad back then.
But hey, it's John Hoke's boy...I'm sure he knows something the rest of the league doesn't.
