1. Center because Grove left and Wade would only be a temporary fix if we don't draft Alex Mack
2. DT stopping the run has been an issue with us for a long time. The last solid runstuffers we had were Chester McGlockton/Russell Maryland and Darrell Russell/Grady Jackson. Sam Adams was a good run stuffer too but was only with us 1 season. I think Tank Johnson would be a good & cheap addition here, but I don't know if the Raiders want to take a chance on his troubled passed; plus there's BJ Raji in the draft and we could take him #7 overall.
3. Safety because we released Wilson and let Baker get away in free agency. Huff has been a bust and Eugene is mainly a special teamer. Branch showed some promise before injuring his wrist and could probably play either safety position, so I think Roy Williams (formerly of Dallas) would be a good addition here.
4. OT Henderson found his mark on the left side, so now we need another for the right side. Starters Harris and Green were the most penalized and Harris was actually benched in favor of Henderson. This draft is pretty deep at the position and it's kind of tempting but may be wise to take one in round 1, but I'm sure there will be more in later rounds.
5. WR was a high priority, but with Johnnie Lee Higgins and Chaz Schilens showing promise at the end of last year, WR drops down on my list. At first I wasn't sure if it was Russell or the receivers, but when Schilens got his chance and was consistantly catching everything within his arms' reach, I realized that it was the older receivers and we desperatly needed youth at this position. Higgins is also the punt returner but made quite a few amazing grabs himself. It's almost like the Darren McFadden situation last year, only WR is a greater need than RB was last year. Michael Crabtree will not be easy to pass on if available at #7 overall. In 2004, the Raiders had a chance at Larry Fitzgerald, but opted for Robert Gallery instead thinking he was a can't miss OT of the future, but Gallery of all respect plays guard now and Fitzgerald is an all pro wide out for another team. Will the Raiders do the same thing again or go the other way?
