Strahan, Umenyiora, Pierce not talking about Giants' poor defense

How could it be any other way? Anybody else that feels any differently in the locker room, whether you are defense, offense or special teams, probably ought to look into another profession. The New York Giants' defense has been a no-show on the field in the first two games of the season, and now they are taking it to a new level. The big-name players who have long been the spokesmen for the defense weren't in the locker room on Wednesday, and they have been invisible for most of this week with New York looking to rebound from an 0-2 start in which the unit has given up 80 points. Pro Bowl middle linebacker Antonio Pierce has gone on the radio a few times since the 35-13 loss to Green Bay on Sunday, but he has not talked to beat reporters since last week. Defensive ends Osi Umenyiora and Michael Strahan _ former Pro Bowlers _ haven't said a word since the aftermath of the Packers game.
