This performance by Beck is a complete red herring. He's getting a ton of heat for having fumbled once, and yet the Fins fumbled 8 times during the game. I think one or both of the following is happening:

(1) Cameron is worried about getting fired and is desperately moving people around to try and get a win.

(2) Cameron feels bad for the rest of the team that is playing hard and wants them to get a win and not go down as the worst team in history.

Either way, the decision just doesn't make sense in terms of developing Beck. There's no way you can make a substantive evaluation of a quarterback based on 3.1 games, each of which featured crazy blitzing, poor O-line coverage, dropped passes, poor weather (except against the Jets), and absolutely no running game. Beck may be bad and he may be good, but it's silly to pretend that anyone has any idea yet.

Grossman isn't my quarterback as I am a Dolphin season ticket holder who lives in Illinois but nice try. And by the way genius you don't have a firm evaluation on any quarterback in just over 3 games. Now go back and get your shine box.

Look as a huge Dolphins fan since 1969, things are getting ugly fast..but lets face it..these things where bound to happen..with poor draft picks and poor coaching since Wanny, what did you expect? Want answers...look to Wayne..nice guy they say..but not a football fan..he is a fan of business..and business is about revenue % returns. If the fans keeps supporting the team by going to the games its telling him..win or lose im still making money. I think he wants to win to help his ego..but overall he doesn't really care as long as he is making the $$$. So keep spending your money on poor coaching and management and you will have more of the same. Want to fix this now? Here is the road map Wayne....Hire Parcells as your GM..He knows football and drafting..Let him pick the coaches as well...Maybe Cam stays as OC and hire Marty? Let Parcells determine that. Thats the Fix Wayne...are you listening? You better be or you wont have fans supporting this garbage much longer.

Not Marino, not Elway, not Bradshaw, or any other Hall of Fame QB would have shown any better than Beck did last Sunday. When you have a pathetic O-line that just releases a defensive rusher untouched to your backfield, what can a QB possibly do? Not too much. What do you expect from rookie Beck playing his first games in these circumstances and conditions he's playing in? I read these ignorant comments from you people saying John Beck sucks when you know that he has no pass protection, no prominent receiver, no supporting run game, and he is facing defenses that are coming after him with the blitz on every play knowing that the fins can't run the ball, can't get a receiver open, and can't pass block. That's not making excuses, that's just reality. If you can't see it plainly you know nothing about the game of football. Lemon was definitely worse with his two picks, four fumbles, and wounded ducks landing in the dirt. He tried to do a play action fake with no one in the backfield. His last several passes at the end of the game were horrid. Most landed a few feet in the dirt in front of the receiver. He overthrew a wide open receiver in the endzone for what would have been an easy pass and catch for TD. The only positive last Sunday was the glimmer of a running game with Gado showing tremendous effort and ability.

The fact that Cam didn't have the offense prepared for an all-out blitz attack from the Bills shows how weak he is as a coach. They should have had Beck ready for it. Instead, he didn't have a chance to breath and was completely overwhelmed. Having said that, it was the right move to insert Cleo. Like Shula did with Strock back in the David Woodley days, using him as a relief pitcher. The Dolphins need to draft McFadden and with Ronnie have the most potent run attack in football. That will help protect Beck and also open up the passing game. With McF and Ronnie running 40-50 times a game, Beck can throw 15-20 times - like Griese used to - and Miami can control the ball. Remember, if they pass on McF, New England or Jets will snatch him and we'll be chasing him for the next 10 years. Oh, and dump Cam. He ain't got it. Cowher or Jason Garrett should be next tries.

Please Cam...start Beck Sunday. If JT or the others on the team don't like it they need to go. They work for you. Show some balls and some fire. We need to see if he has some future here. Get this O-line going. They didn't block anyone the last few weeks. If you don't get the fire in these guys you won't EVER win.

Watching Cam Cam on Sunday peering out at the field from behind his glasses with that clueless expression and open mouth I can't help but wonder in amazement what the hell happened to your franchise over the last few years. God, I feel sorry for you people......

I bet your franchise regrets selecting Ted fumbles Ginn over Brady Quinn also. Please, a 26 yr old mormon QB? Sounds like a Cam Cam draft pick, all right. Then yanks him and probably ruins whatever confidence he had left. Oh well, as the Patriots select Darren McFadden with the #2 pick next April,(Thank You 49ers) making a 19-0 team even stronger, just sit back and tell yourself...'We need the thumbs to go in this direction'........

Many Miami fans surely regret that the Dolphins did not draft the esteemed Mr. Quinn, as they express on these boards all the time.(You know that already, because you spend your life immersed in the blogs of teams you hate.) But why do you think that our front office shares the sentiment? Beck hasn't had an easy lot, what with no talent around him. But this organization spent ample time with Quinn before the draft, and then passed on him. The Dolphins were joined by about 18 other teams in passing on him. Since then, Quinn has played very well, completing a series of scintillating screen passes against third-stringers in the fourth quarters of pre-season games. And he's done an admirable job in commercials! Maybe we can't yet say too much for Beck, but there's absolutely no reason to think Quinn is even as good as Beck. Call us when Quinn beats a major league opponent, but don't hold your breath, because Navy isn't on the Browns' schedule.

Just ran across this post...
If you're truly a cowboys fan, you should know that it takes more than 3 games to know.

troy aikman had a 55passer rating his first year, with 18 INTs His second year he improved to a 66 rating (still not good) and again 18INTs.

Good thing they didn't give up on him!

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Scorpio

The thought of the sales is almost too good to resist today, and you'll jump at the chance to see what's on offer. Even better if you can snap up some bargains at the same time. It's certainly a good day for investing your money carefully, but make sure you aren't more seduced by the reduction in the cost of something than in the item itself. Are you certain that you want to buy it?
