“You’ve just got to be lucky enough to have the last bid in when the clock goes off.”

You also got to be lucky enough to have $10,000 to throw around on artificial turf. Crazy Expensive. Don't get me wrong, it would be cool to say you own it, but I could never justify spending that kind of money for it.

Wouldn't it be funny if the urinal was determined to have come from the wrong locker room...how are we to know it didn't come from the 3rd level, maintenance personnel closet? How does one validate it...scrape some urine off and do a lab test?

Did TAXPAYERS buy those things? If so, then the auction proceeds should be done with that in mind

Of course the taxpayers bought that stuff. The Colts don't have enough fans to make enough money to buy it themselves. And yes, they are keeping that in mind. Irsay is laughing all the way to the bank. Just like always.

Why are people paying good money for this, haven't they already paid for it a number of times over? The colts don't give a damn about the people here, they are just here to make money and have hard working people spend there money to see over paid grown ups play a kids game....I even bet some people bought stuff that they already paid for through taxes and skipped buying food for there kids....they should have taken everything form the old dome (seats urinals, etc.)and put it in the new dome that is being paid by taxpayers.........

If the Colts want to leave our state at some point in the future, is there any contractual agreement preventing them from doing so?

Is the money that will be raised going to be used to retire the debt that remains on the dome?

You a big bears fans there Steve? The taxpayers buy stuff all the time that amounts to crap. We endlessly funnel money to the black hole called education. We pay for idiot organizations like planned parenthood. Hellsbells we fund pork barrel projects all the time. You haters quit your endless complaining cause it accomplishes nothing. Focus on real stuff like law breaking illegal aliens over running our state and leave this non-story alone.

Was the dome paid by tax dollars? Or were those the cuts by the President giving it to the rich while the poor suffer at the Gop gas pump?

Yes it was paid for by a 1% county restaraunt sales tax. The reason the poor suffer at the gas pump is because Bill Clinton made some major blunders with his energy policy in the 90's that caused OPEC to more closely bind into a real cartel and control global oil supply. Blame your donkey-lovin' friend Bill.

We paid for this stadium, I mean still paying for this stadium, I think the taxpayers should get those items for nothing, if you have an Indiana address.

Just an FYI for everyone spouting off about how much Jim Irsay is making...

"Proceeds from the sale of the memorabilia will be split between the Indiana Sports Corp. and the Colts Foundation. MainGate, an Indianapolis-based company, is overseeing the auction as well as the removal and sale of the memorabilia"

It may be worth your time to do a little research before opening your mouth and letting your inital thoughts pour out of it.

Yawn... What a tired, pathetic diatribe. True or not isn't even the issue; you people sound like whiny little baby girls that got your favorite barbie taken away. Do us all a favor: go buy some vagisil and shut the heck up.

This is just screwed up...anyone who will buy a urinal because Peyton Manning may have used it needs help. Get real, folks. These guys are just human beings like the rest of us...millionaire human beings, but nevertheless...a 22 year old building being scrapped in the name of football is a huge waste of taxpayer dollars...but then, we are getting used to that in Indy, aren't we? First Market Square Arena (a 25 year old building which could have been a great concert venue or put to other uses in its great location; but then the developers wouldn't have the opportunity to build condos on the site), then the Dome (which could have been revamped into convention space), then Lucas Oil Stadium (which is a huge monument to misplaced priorities, and which will probably not be adequate to the appetite of the NFL and its owners in 20 years). We scream about our property taxes and sales taxes and income taxes, but don't say a word about the huge abuses of our dollars in the name of sports...screwed up is what it is...

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Pisces

You're lacking in energy and resources today, which will soon slow you down and make you feel as though you're wading through treacle. The only way to cope is to have as many breaks as possible, and not to set yourself impossible goals that you could never hope to meet. You're also very susceptible to the criticisms or put-downs of others, but do your best to ignore them.
