The person the Bears should have "cut" is Babich. There's no way they should have been the 28th ranked defense last season. If you look at this guy, he has all the commanding presence of a mannequin. Please dump him for the love of god. I can't believe Lovie and the Bears are going to allow his incompetent presence for another season. What a waste. The Bears do have some spirited players and talent on 'D,' and they deserve better.

Big mistake with Hass. Never have him a chance. I am very disappointed with the whole Bear organization. I hope Hass catches on with another team and has a real chance.

The Bears are going to blow this year.

I think they are playing for the number 1 draft pick next year....

Upper management needs to decide if the coaching staff is unable to develop players, if the player personnel department is selecting the wrong guys or both. Dumping a 2 and 3 this quickly is unbelievable. Especially when you are so thin on the offensive line.
The Bears drafted Bazuin and then signed Alex Brown long term. The Bears drafted Okwo and signed Lance Briggs long term. While I agreed with both long term signings, I don't know why you wouldn't have seen those two players as part of your core and filled a need like the offensive line that was getting old. Or drafted a QB. Oy!! |

My next jersey will be a Mike Hass jersey no matter what team it is with, I love the bears and have as long as I have known football!! But what a joke we are leting a talent like Hass leave!! MANAGEMENT IN CHICACO SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

Keeping Booker over Mike Hass is going to prove to be a major blunder. Hass is going to be an outstanding receiver in the NFL while Booker will be "one and done".

I hope between the receivers choices of Mark Bradley, Brandon Rideau and Marty Booker they cut Booker. Mark and Brandon in my opinion are better choices.

Jerry Angelo you are ridiculous! What an embarrassment it is to watch you draft. You suck buddy...you suck.

In the NFL, 2nd and 3rd rd. draft picks are humongous in the development of a team. Injuries or not, to miss on picks that crucial and find them to be unworthy for development in only one season just shows how far off the evaluations of the teams needs were. It just appears that Angelo is proving moreso each year to be a terrible GM. His calling should have been as a players agent, as he's pretty good at working out deals for veteran players, but being a judge of young talent, horrible is a word which comes to mind with his abilities.

Big Verb: I don't think we deserve the 1st draft pick. We'd end up wasting it on something ridiculous.
Hass being let go was dumb, but not shocking. Looking at Bears' personal moves the last few seasons; who they've drafted, cut, signed, etc. shows signs of incompetence in the front office. Angelo clearly doesn't have an answer, and is still riding that trip to the Super Bowl. Hell, we should've lost in the playoffs to Seattle (they were the better team in that game). As far as Lovie goes, once you're in his dog house, you're done. It's shown with Bradley throughout his short career. Lovie has never given him a chance, just like he never gave Hass a chance. "Marty is our wide reciever, we're sticking with him." Looks like the Bears shouldn't have stuck with Lovie (but, I guess a loss in the Super Bowl can still buy you a few extra years). Good ridince to Lovie and the front office. |

Hass will make the practice squad, there will be better WR's than him on the scrap heap. It sucks about Bazuin and Okwo, but we dont have time or roster space to wait for them to MAYBE get healthy someday. If they hadn't got hurt getting off the bus, maybe we don't sign Brown and Briggs to extensions. It's all up to the D this year. They play like they have been and they'll get Lovie and Jerry fired. Then we can hire Mike Singletary!

Great job Angelo! Genius I tell you. If only you could draft 100 O-linemen and release 99 of them in the next three years you will be the greatest manager ever.#&*^^ idiot. We could have used last year's 2nd and 3rd round picks and all the 1st round picks you wasted. In future please don't draft any questionable playes please.... other teams skip them for a reason.
Someone should report you to Gamblers Anonymous! |

I know Rex knows the offense, but really...his performance is unstable. Drop him, up Caleb Hanie to Orton's backup. He's got alot of the things that seem to be lacking in Rex. He's no pocket passer, he has an arm and is tough. Bye Rex.

Jerry Angelo is a real tool !! I could draft better than this clown. He drafts players two to three rounds before they are anticipated to go. Also the worst part of his draft strategy is he drafted players to use in leverage to signing his own players. For example : he drafted Okwo to compete for a linebacker spot that was to be open when Briggs left. Guessed wrong again Jerry. Bazuin was not needed-unless we lost Alex Brown-which we didn't. I guess he should have pulled the trigger on O-lineman...but wait that would make too much sense. He would have only drafted players to replace players that he would deem too expnsive to resign. This guy has a very poor draft history with the Bears and I am not buying the crap that he drafts good on the defense-BULL-he missed there alot too. We need a GM that can draft a QB and a new Offense. Jerry and Lovie NEED TO GO. When the Bears are 4-12 eveyone in Chicago better want their butts gone.

I can't wait to watch Hass catch touchdown passes for the Pats, Colts, or any other team that's headed to the Super Bowl...the Bears blew it again!

Haas is no loss and too bad about Baz, two knee injuries in two years. As to JA and Lovie must go stuff, what a load, two years from the super bowl.

The draft is largely a crapshoot, both for the Bears and the rest of the teams. At the same time, history would tell me that my best chance for picking players with the greatest likelihood of success comes from taking guys from the SEC, Big 10, PAC 10 and Big 12. One note - Remember to double check all medical histories.
P.S. Regarding Haas, name other slow, surehanded receivers currently thriving in the NFL. |

Wow,so many of you live in a Fantasy land & must have E.S.P!! It is amazing how many G.M's we have posting on these blogs. It is so easy, all of you know all the right moves. All of you have crystal balls & can draft the perfect guy, every time without any bust's or injuries.Wow,you people are incredible & amazing.I cant believe you all are not employed as G.M'S on teams out there. Not just on the Bears.Back to Reality now,Every team in the NFL has bust's,losses to injuries & take risk's that sometimes pay off(Brady,Romo,Ect).Sometimes they dont work out.Angelo overall has done a Great job for us.You all criticize every pick & move, like they should all be perfect.Seriously,Wake up people!! It is easy to look in from the out side & say what they should have done, after it has all played out & happened.Com e on already,GET REAL!!! Listening to you all makes me laugh! No one except GOD,can tell if someone will get hurt,be a bust or get in trouble!! So blame Angelo for not having E.S.P & being perfect! We were just in a superbowl,Hello(Its been 20 years, for all you new comers)!! We probably would have gone back last year. But we were completely devastated with injuries,& the Fans ruined their Q.B's confidence by trashing him constantly.Even though Rex is 19-11??? Not bad for his 1st 32 games played!! You so-called fans are so critical of every single move & breath taken. You people that are looking for perfection, sorry to break it to you, but you will NEVER see it!!!!! Neither does any other team in the NFL.Fair Weather fans typically react the worse to every little move. They also think they have all the answers to make everything right! You people must just have miserable lives,to be so hateful!!! Angelo has definitely made some bad moves,he would even admit it.But no G.M is going to get all the moves right. There are just too many un-knowns that can happen in Football.I like what Angelo has done here.I would like to see him work better on Offense obviously, and i think he will.We all make mistakes & bad decisions at times, its part of being human. But overall Angelo has done well,I sure would not want him Fired!! You can nit-pick some of his moves that went bad.But you can come up with alot more better choices that Angelo has made.Enough with all the finger pointing & Hate already!! I am excited,& cant wait for the games to start.I have been a die hard Bears fan for 37 years.I live for Football.Regardless of the circumstances.I cant wait every week to watch my Bears play.Every year is different, heck every week is different in the NFL.Win or Lose i will always be there & support my Bears!! I will never trash talk them publicly(internet). No matter how frustrated i get.I keep my frustrations in house.I stick up for my team, support them, cheer them on(being a fan).Lets go Bear fans,Bear Down!! GOD BLESS!! GO BEARS GOOD LUCK IN 2008!! YOUR TRUE FANS WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT YOU!!!
