Todd is a pro.He was a victim,of sorts,in BB's style of offense but now he to work his way back into a Cam type of offense.If he made all pro in BB's years it's because he was a focus in the passing attack.This year?I don't think anybody knows what the future holds for anybody on the offense except we need to establish a running game FIRST!

I love the people on here that say Heap is too soft or not tough enough. Most of you wouldn't be able to play flag football but you question his toughness.

Hey Flacco's first completion was to Heap and he Fumbled it. Then he dropped an easy sure TD catch in the end zone. He brougth this on himself, he seems to be a shell of that ALL PRO player people keep referring to. I think everyone would like to see him catch more balls esp in the red zone but hey maybe he stays healthy by just blocking. The NYGs traded Shockey and maybe the Ravens should consider trading his salary at the end of the season.

Heap has gotten off to a terrible start, I thought when Cameron came here he would have a Pro Bowl-type year. It's still early obviously and I expect to see him involved more, hopefully against the Titans. Getting Heap involved would help Flacco even more and I think we'll see that soon, hopefully.

I think people are questioning his heart more than anything. He's made his money and he didn't think training camp was fun under Harbaugh, so he missed most of it. He has no class and if you think he cares about anything but the money, you're mistaken. We don't need that worthless piece of $hit. |

If you think back to the begining of Todd Heap's Career...he started out in dynamic fashion..... catching every pass thrown to him ..very good speed....and being the Ravens only dependable receiver....now think about all the vicious shots Heap took and still held on to the ball....I know all of you have vivid memories of wicked shot after wicked shot that he took as a result of Boller staring at him the whole time and alowing DB's and linebackers to charge at him full speed and knock the daylights out of him....and he still always held on to the ball.....I wont disagree that he looks done....but I will say this ....all of you who are criticizing him so much now are the same ones who were on Billick and Bollers d****s....if you want to blame someone for Heaps gun shy /lack of desire attitude ...Blame them....because its their fault not his.

I AGREE..THESE HEAP HATERS ARE PROBABLY THE SAME ONES YELLING HEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPP AND SLOSHING BEER ON ME AT THE STADIUM. GET A GRIP,PEOPLE,THE MAN IS FEARLESS,HOW MANY TIMES HAS HE GONE INTO SOME SERIOUS TRAFFIC AND CRACKED HEADS WITH A SWARM OF DEFENDERS ONLY TO COME AWAY WITH INCREDIBLE CATCHES? TOO MANY FOR ME TO NAME. THIS IS WHY HE HASNT BEEN PRODUCTIVE,BECAUSE HES BEEN HURT,NOT BECAUSE HE IS SOFT GIVE ME A BREAK! YOU GUYS WILL BE EATING SOME SERIOUS CROW WHEN HE ONCE AGAIN CARRIES THIS TEAM ON OFFENSE LIKE HE DID COUNTLESS TIMES IN THE PAST. DUDE IS WAY TOO TALENTED TO BE A BLOCKING TE GIVE HIM THE DAMN BALL!!!!!!!!!! |

It would not surprise me to see the Ravens win about the same number of games as last year. The difference is that there seems to be a sense of a future and a much better attitude. I don't think we'll see another Super Bowl during the next 5 years. I think the offensive line needs time to mature and work as a synchronized unit. With the talent we have, it isn't great, but good, I think it will take that long to produce a high caliber scoring unit. I am concerned about how often Willis McGehee is injured. When he's healthy he can be one of the best in the NFL. However, both he and Heap seem to be heading into suseptabilities to injuries. Heap's a very good human, but he needs to accept his role of being more of a blocker, not exclusively, but more, and the press needs to not imply so much criticism of this shift. Let Mr. Cameron do his thing. I am enjoying the change in the offensive play calling.

they are letting teams forget about heap so the unexpected play- like the 40 yarder that was tipped on mon- will come his way. cameron is all about being unpredictable.

Something's got to give here. Either unload the guy or get him involved in the offense. After nine years of Billick's arrogance we don't need another dose from this coaching staff.Derrick Mason cannot be the entire passing game and that was borne out again Monday night.
|
||||
You know all this because you are a close personal friend of people on the team? You've spent a lot of time around Heap on or off the field? You believe every scrap of information passed on to you by the Sun's "informed" anonymous sources? Or maybe you are a telepath who can read people's minds from the stands or the TV? As for not needing him, maybe you weren't here last year when the Ravens would have lined you up at Tight End, they were so short of people to play there. Given that, you would have thought they would have beaten the bushes to prevent a repeat. Instead the best they could do was pray that Heap and Wilcox stay healthy and think about converting QB's, Tackles and Guards and basketball players to the position. Either this coaching staff doesn't think TE is a problem or our front office can't turn over enough rocks to find one. You tell me. |

I have Todd Heap on a fantasy team for the second season so it was especially disappointing to see him drop passes in game 1. I think he's primarily blocking due to a combination of rust (no real preseason) and Flacco's intro to the NFL. But if Heap catching and not blocking becomes beneficial to the team, you can bet that's what will happen. I think there are a lot of intentionally misleading "rumors" coming out of the Ravens this year - like McGahee being in the doghouse, then getting almost all of the carries until he needed to be spelled or got banged up when he came back.
|

Titans love him!!!! |
||||
Just like they love their Super Bowl Trophy eh? |
||||
|
Speaking of weak come backs, anymore lame game predictions for the Ravens?
You are 2-2 at them. |
