Passes not coming Heap's way in new offense

But these days, it seems as if everybody does. Heap has disappeared from the Ravens' offense, making three catches for 37 yards.

I said 3 years ago that he needed to find his nuts again, and quit missing so much time.

At one time, Heap was in the top 3 TE's in the NFL.....now, he's not in the top 3 TE's in the AFCN.

Cant wait till Quinn gets back from IR, next year...now that kid is a football player!!!

Faith, my fellow fan. We have to respect Cam and John H. as coaches. If they feel Todd Heap can be used to block for Joe, so be it. If I am wrong I'll point to the fact I never played or coached pro ball. But if Todd gets involved and does his thing I hope all the nay sayers admit their error. Todd is too good to not be used.

When you look at our pathetic receiving corp, I'd say we HAVE to get Heap involved in the passing game again. Joe can't keep ONLY throwing the ball to Mason!!! Heap IS soft, we've all known that before this year. But when he IS healthy, he's too talented to be ignored. Hope this works out best for the TEAM.

Heap is like too many other vets. if they feel hurt, they don't practice. The reason Heap drops balls this year is his conditioning. Blame yourself Heap. No one else.

Todd used to be my favorite Raven but his injuries, drops and fumbles have soured me on him. He's a stand-up guy but the Ravens just can't depend on him to be a major part of the offense if he's not going to be healthy. Let him block and earn his way back into the offense. Good call by the Ravens.

It think it's funny that people on here that probably can't even tie their own shoe without pulling a muscle are calling Heap soft. I've seen Heap take more huge hits then any other player the Ravens have had because he goes out and gets the tough catch in traffic and sacrafices his body. The same people trashing him now will be cheering his name on Sunday when he catches his first TD.

I think there's a major difference from being soft and being injury-prone. Heap is more injury-prone than soft. Some people are tall, some have brown eyes, some go bald, and some players get injured more than others. Heap gets injured more than others, but I don't see him short-arming passes or avoiding contact, both signs of someone who's not tough

Heap is the most overrated player I ever seen. After a couple productive seasons and getting pushed around like a punching bag, It's been all down hill for the last 4 years. I never seen anyone take harder hits than Heap. After all his years of playing he should have learned how to take a football hit. Our coaching staff is right. Heap is soft. In the first game of the season he fumbled, and than dropped a pass in the end zone. The pass could not have been handed to him any better than the perfect throw. He easily could have cost us that game. Against the Browns, another close game, he droped a 7-8 yard pass right in his hands. It would have been a important 1st down. But no because of Heap we kicked. I believe our coaching staff is right Heap is soft. He's not the player he used to be. You see which tight-end caught a T-D pass in the Steelers game- Wilcox. Remember it was Heap, who in the most important game in Blltimore in decades the championship game against the Indy Kolts 2 years ago, fumbled the first pass of the game and set the tone for a terrible loss. A game we should have won. Heap along with Billick and McNair were all completely unperpared for that game.

They've thrown passes to Heap this year but he's dropped too many of them. Maybe Flacco is always looking for Mason because he seems to be the one guy on the field who can catch the ball.

Heap is slow. Can't shake linebackers or defense backs. A weak blocker. A fumbler. His best days are behind him. Still, if he's going to be out there, I wish they would throw the ball downfield to him. None of that underneath route stuff. He's still got good hands, doesn't he?

To be honest Todd heap use to be my favorite raven as well. But after he got his money he started getting injured way to much. Trust me he is in harbaugh's dog house and he is one of the players that might get weeded out of here by next year. Heap 's name shouldn't ever be used in the same sentence as tony or gates.And he is a poor blocker to boot after be cuddled in the billick system for years.He is do to make 3.5 million next year and unless some drastic happens he won't be on this team,take that to the bank.

Here's the hitch, this weekend, they'll need Heap especially for quick dumps, problem is, if he doesn't screw his head on and catch some meaningful passes, things are just going to get worse.
