Thigpen is only second on the depth chart for training camp purposes. Once the fur really starts to fly, Damon Huard will once again be #2 behind Croyle.

They moved Thigpen up for training camp because they know exactly what they have in Huard and he doesn't need a lot of reps in training camp. If you watched the game last thursday in Chicago, you will note Huard relieved Croyle in the second quarter and played out the half. Then Thigpen came in to play the second half... and generally stunk up Soldier Field too! He might one day be an adequate backup because he has a gun and good feet. But he's a LOT shorter than Romo, and I doubt he'll ever be a starter in the NFL -and I'm a Chiefs fan pulling for the kid.
