Did anyone really expect anything different from Bob?

Here is my prediction Bob. If the Colts win home field advantage, they go to the Super Bowl (and win it). They dont win home field and they wont. That is all that really separates Indy, the Pats and the Bolts.

So the Colts have played in a lot of playoff games. Since when did having post season experience become a bad thing? And New England? How many post season games have they played in? Didnt see Bob saying that was going to hurt them.

Just more of Bob being Bob, which translates into being the worst writer the Star has ever employed. Not to mention showing how little he really knows about sports and just wants to try and stir the pot.

You are a tabloid writer Bob. Nothing more.

I don't know if Bob just came out of hibernation or if I don't pay attention to him until football season, but welcome back to work Bob. Gotta try and get people riled up about football season with your instigating pieces. Good job. Unfortunately, you are probaly right.

Yes, they can repeat.
No, sorry, they won't.

Well make up your mind? Either way you have a "I told you so" prediction.

If they repeat you can say "I told you they could before TC started!

If they do not than "I told you before TC they would not."

And didn't you already make fun of the Patriots offseason moves months ago? hmmm.......

And please will people stop with the Norv Turner led Chargers.

As soon as I saw the headline I knew it would be Bob's article. Thank you "Mr. Negativity." Good God Almighty, why can't you let us enjoy the pre-season at least, while we bask in the shadow of the nearly $1 BILLION arena. At least if we're getting scr--ed, let us savor it for a while!

Me personally , I'm fine with Bob's predictions, I would be worried if he came out and said the Colts WILL re-peat. I know we have quite a few question marks on the roster ,(esp. once again on def.) but how was last year any different, Tell me how many people were predicting us to win it all last year (before we got to the AFC title game)with our defense playing so badly (esp. against the run),but some players stepped it up & made it happen & I believe that those players ARE STILL HERE! I think as long as C.Johnson/T.Ugoh fill in well enough to keep Peyton from getting hurt , It could/should be another fun ride..It is harder to re-peat , but have some faith , huh? BOB

Didn't put much thought into this column, huh Bob. You didn't really say anything. The last few seasons, the only thing the Colts lacked was confidence. They have it in abundance now. They could steamroll this season.

Bob,
You can forget your dreams about being a motivational speaker. Go back to your, "Trailor down by the river," and come back with a better atitude. Better yet, "Go sit in the Port-O-Let for 20 minutes." The article could have, gotten your point across and not been so downbeat. This was written more for the,"Boston Globe" or the,"Boston Herald."

I finally figured this out...Bob is the Jay Mariotti of the Indy Star. He makes everyone in Chicago mad about what he writes and he does it to just stir the pot. He gets called names by the White Sox manager just to stir the pot. He slams the Cubs just to stir the pot. People is Chicago hate him and get behind their teams for support just to prove him wrong. Bob is trying his best to do the same here in Indy. Thanks Bobbo, we will all support the Colts more now thanks to your efforts. GEESH!!!!

I agree with your assessment of Wes Welker. We Sooners fans in Oklahoma are still miffed that OU didn't extend a scholarship to Welker out of Heritage Hall High School in Oklahoma City. Instead, Walker went to Texas Tech where he set records and had us drooling for four years of what might have been had he played in Norman. I cringed when I heard the news that the Pats had signed him. He is a far superior player than Moss ever was. The nation will behold it this year.

Here are the three rebuttals.

1. For the first time in a number of years, the Patriots are REACTING TO US. Nice thought on Moss, but we will all find out that he is a little less Moss, and more Keyshawn at this stage in his career. In other words, nice receiver but no superstar.

2. Two words, Bob. Norv Turner. That guy couldn't win the Super Bowl with the '85 Bears.

3. You are using the fact that we have rookies playing at key positions as a challenge. Tell me ONE team in the league that doesn't have that as an obstacle to overcome?

These columns get more than a little old. I can't wait for the Pacers season to fire back up and watch him criticize every move that they make and offer ZERO solutions of his own. I just made the decision that I am going to read the message boards instead of this crap this season. I get better information from people who know more and aren't motivated to 'sell newspapers'.

C'mon - if your bud in the office offers you the Colts vs the league even up, you're not taking the league? Kravitz went so far out on a limb with this prediction, he might break a nail when he falls. In a playoff system where every game is a one-and-somebody's-done, there are no sure things. They'll be plenty good - but it'll take more than good to repeat.

Sorry Bob, but you are dead wrong. The Colts will score over 50 points in EVERY game this year. Gonzo will make a big time splash this year. Marvin and Reggie will show him the way for the first 1 or 2 games. The defense will be much better than you think. The Pats WILL NOT even make the playoffs. Tom Brady is the MOST OVER--RATED QB in NFL history. Brady has 3 Super Bowl rings, but little or No thaks goes to him. The Pats had a great defense, which gave Brady top notch field position. Most of that defense is gone now. You can never have too may receivers for Peyton, and one may be available in 2008 or 2009(if he stays for his Senior year) He is not well known, but should be available in round 5. His name is Mario Manningham, and he is from the University of Michigan. Not too many people have heard of him, so that is Polian's kind of guy. Here is the 2007-08 prediction. The Colts go 19-0 and wash away the 72 Dolphins. Joe runs for over 1500 yards. Marvin, Reggie, and Gonzo go over 1000 yards each. Peyton is MVP, and throws 55 TD passes.

Ten wins is never a guarantee in this league. Every team is capable and every game is a battle...even in the AFC South. Need any evidence? J'ville in December! Cato will be missed, but maybe hopefuls will step up and create a better defense than last year.
NE...definitely the team to beat...though, it will be interesting to see if he even the genius Bellicheck can get the team to play together with the likes of fickle players like Moss. On paper, NE runs away with it...but, there's a whole lot of ego there. SD...well, they have the talent, but coaches who have followed Marty usually are left wondering how Marty did it, as it doesn't come quite so easy for them as it did for Marty. Marty is a good coach, and SD will miss him! Good luck Colts...I'm hoping for the best, but like BK, I won't be surprised if it's a less than lackluster year.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Sagittarius

After all the excitement of the past few days you're longing for the chance to put your feet up and take life easy for a while. Ideally, you should bury your nose in a good book and be left alone until you resurface for a food transfusion. But you'll also enjoy chatting to someone you know very well and for whom you don't have to make a big effort, such as a close relative.
