Study: Houston police used Tasers more on blacks

Houston police officers have used Tasers more on black suspects than any other group of individuals, according to a city study released Monday.

The numbers mean nothing if we don't know what percentage of arrested individuals by Houston PD are black and how the arrest rates compare to other races. You also have to take into account what the breakdown is for force being used to effect an arrest; again by race.

A study means statistics were taken into context you effing idiots but from your responses I can tell the scientific method probably means little to your pea brains.

Tasers are used more often on blacks because of perceived aggression. Whites often think volume is directly related to physical action i.e. "bark is worse than the bite" which may or may not be the case. Threatened officers or those simply abusing authority believe Taser use is justified and who are we to question that right (sarcasm)? Either way more training on proper Taser use is needed.

I like how the idiot in this article says the Taser is race neutral as if the thing fires itself.
