I am sick of apologist for athletes, these overpaid ignorent babies get a pass all the time, this idiot got the brass ring from g-d and isn't smart enough to take advantage of it. give him the Paris Hilton treatment 45 days in solitary.
And cut his ass from the team. I am sick of dolphins getting in trouble with the law. take a note from the steelers, zero tolerance.

This is his first offense. Its not like he shot someone. Hear his side of the story. My bet is he apologies, submits to rehab and vows never to do this again. The phins will not cut this young player for someone else to pick up.

The brother did nothing wrong. Racial prejudice is the issue. I will be down soon to look into it myself.

Sounds like we are following the Bengals. You know it seems that the Dolphins are getting this quiet rep for getting in trouble with the law. Go back to the Johnson years with Phillips and Collins. It has kind of been consistant it just seems that if you wear aqua uniforms you don't draw as much attention as if you wear a Black uniform.

Hopefully he makes the team - that might be enough to scare the players on the other teams he'd ne playing against

If someone paid me $300K a year and all I have to do is work 6 months and offseason behave as a professional for 6 months so I can continue to be paid my huge salary for another year I won't have a problem doing so. These young players who screw up like this are STUPID, no calling these people stupid would be an INSULT to Stupid People!!!!

What to do, what to do? A promising young player. If you go by the book, you toss his ass. On the other hand, is it worth the risk to see him picked up by another club, then turn into a star? There should be a rule that if a player's released for off the field misbehavior, another club cannot pick him up for a year? 2 years? That way, in this case, the Dolphins wouldn't have this concern. And they'd maintain his rights. It's time to stop having to decide whether to let a young kid with potential go, or condone the misbehavior.

I doubt he has much money. He is a young player, and this is the NFL, not MLB. Even MLB players don't make huge dollars, by sports standards, for at least the first 4 years-look at Miguel Cabrera's salary last year (about 470k, making 7.4 mil this yr) This will take a decent chunk of what little money he currently has.

Surprised that no Dolphin fan has woken up to claim it must have been a setup by a NY Jets fan cop
