Not surprised that Jimmy knew the Patriots were stealing signals. I could tell right after the opening kickoff and Johnson should have adjusted then. That crap went of for years with the Pats. The first year they won the superbowl with Brady, it happened in the playoffs against the phins on the goal line. Too bad our quarterbacks didn't have the brains or the authority to change the play at the line.

Johnson took the authority to audible away from Marino, couple that with his suspect play-calling (ie: run, run, ahhh 3rd and 8..."Dan, can you bail us out) and we end up talking about Favre breaking the all-time TD record.

This is a terrible article. Dave Hyde, Bob Ackels, and most importantly, Jimmy Johnson are all JERKS and (BAD WORDS)!!!!

Jimmy Johnson was a terrible leader to let Gary Stevens take the blame for the Patriots cheating and Jimmy's poor head coaching. Jimmy is nothing but a drunk, beach bumb that made his career off of one trade with Hershel Walker. He is such a loser. The statistics clearly show that when Gary Stevens was the Dolphins offensive coordinator, the offense was alway ranked in the top 10. I dont believe the offense has been raked since Gary Stevens left the Dolphins. Jimmy Johnson was using Gary and was threatened by how great Gary was as a coach.
Jimmy was doing a terrible job as the head coach of the Dolphins and he knew it so he blamed everyone (Gary Stevens, Dan Marino, etc) but himself. The effect of his one big Hershel Walker trade had worn off and he couldnt come through with his own talent because he doesnt have any! Furthermore, all the success Jimmy had at UM is due the great coaching of Gary Stevens . Jimmy took a ride on Gary's hard work and success at UM and stabbed Gary in the back in the end. UM (and Jimmy Johnson) would have been nothing without the great coaching of GARY STEVENS (even Michael Irvin has said Gary made the U).

It makes me sick that Jimmy yelled at a great man (Gary) and blamed him for Jimmys own failures! Jimmy is a disgusting human being! We should all remember how he ended is career...60 - 0 loss to Jacksonville. Jimmy quit the next day!(why dosent any one ever print that).

As for Bob Ackles, the title of his book says it all "The Water Boy." Who gives crap what he has to write in a book. He is another loser that was trying to ride the coat tails of someone else's success. He must be hard up for some money to be writing a book about this junk. Bob, stick to being a water boy....you loser!

Another thing, if JJ new the Pats were stealing signals back in '97 then why didn't he blow the whistle on them to the league instead firing his Off. Coord.? May be he could of stopped them a long time ago. If JJ was so smart than he would have let Stevens and Marino do their thing on offense and JJ obviously built the defense. The Fins probably would have had a ring.

Hey Marcos...you're missing a few pieces of the puzzle there buddyroe. You are right on with some, but what people forget...is that Dan was LIVID coming off the field! Why? Do you remember? I DO...just like it was YESTERDAY. There was a rift between JJ and Dan because JJ was making Dan run the plays he called. He wouldn't let Dan audible when he KNEW a play was going to fail.
Dan's decline had EVERYTHING to do with JJ. If Dan had gone to the Vikings...when they tried to sign them...he would have had Moss, Carter, Reed, and Robert Smith, and SHOWN all you nay sayers he could still play.
JJ castrated Dan forcing his offense on him, and taking his audible options away.
Now that you mention it - I remember.

We can debate all we want how many years Dan had left - but the fact is it wasn't many. The first couple years under JJ WERE rebuilding years. You don't rebuild around an aging QB. When you rebuild - you rebuild. Just like JJ did at Dallas.

Jimmy Johnson is an idiot. Please stop writing about him. We would all like to forget that he even exists in this world.

I couldnt agree with you more! You are absolutely right! If that was truly the problem, why didnt Jimmy turn the Pats in when they cheated in 97? The reason is because he didnt care about the cheating. He would probably cheat himself if he had the opportunity because that is how low he is. He was not successful as a head coach for the Dolphins and the only thing he could do was blame other people likes Stevens and Marino. He is a whimp! A true man would have stood up, defended his coaches and players, and turned in New England.

Jimmy Johnson is a low life that should stay in the Keys where we never have to see him or hear about him again. Anyone who thinks he was a good coach needs to have their head examined. He used people and took credit for their success.

You "claim" to hate the jets and call this score? Are you out of your fregging mind? What have they done this year to make you think they can score at all? You're a NY Homer dude.
In the end it was 31 - 28 to the Jets. I was just 3 point out in my predicition of 34 points. I underrated the Dolphins offense I am very glad to see. Instead of 6 points they managed 28.

Still, unfortunately, an expected loww.

Don't be so kind to the man.

Subhuman, less-than-the-aemeba animal would be more like it.

On second thoughts it would not do to compare him with any living creature.
